Synopsis:
An immortal Scottish swordsman must confront the last of his immortal opponent, a murderously brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled "Prize".
JAMES McAVOY:Connor 'The Highlander' MacLeod / Russell Edwin Nash
Mcavoy is a star on the rise and has been noted as saying that the Highlander film was why he started acting. I think McAvoy would be a solid casting choice for the role of Connor.
Acting Credits:(Chronicles of Narnia:LWW, Wanted and X-MEN:First Class)
MEL GIBSON:Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez
Mel Gibson is no stranger to the scottish highlands, he was actually in the running for Connor in the original film but got beat out by Lambert. I think Ramirez would be a better fit for him all he would have to do would be to tan and grow a some facial hair. His acting is right up there with Connery's for this role.
Acting Credits:(Braveheart, The Patriot and Lethal Weapon)
RICHARD ARMITAGE:Victor Kruger / The Kurgan
Richard Armitage is currently being introduced to the American audience in Captain America:TFA. He is a good at playing villains and tough soldier type characters. The Kurgan would be a good role for him to stretch out his acting skills he some what reminds me of a young Clancy Brown.
Acting Credits:(Captain America:TFA, The HOBBIT and Robin Hood)
MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL:Brenda J. Wyatt
Brenda Wyatt is the detective/modern day love interest for Connor she is the one who begins to investigate Connor after seeing him as a suspect in a murder that happened in her city. Maggie is used to playing such a character ala rachael dawes in the Dark Knight Asst. DA. She would work well off of McAvoy.
Acting Credits:(The Dark Knight, Donnie Darko and Secretary)
RACHEL McADAMS: Heather Macleod
Heather is the highland wife of Connor during his time after becoming an immortal in his days in Scottland; she died in his arms and he now lights a candle every year on her birthday. Rachel would be a good fit for Heather having played the love interest in other films she would bring life and a lot of soul to this character.
Acting Credits:(The Note Book, Sherlock Holmes and Mean Girls)
