To talk about my hopes for a rebooted MARVEL universe. First up we have MARVEL's posterboy, who happens to not be Iron Man! It's Spiderman!
Before doing this article, I looked back at some of the golden Stan Lee/Steve Ditko Spiderman run, and at some of the other better runs.
So here we go!
Writer: Bendis
If any modern comic book writer knows how to write a decent Spidey comic. It's Bendis. He made killing off Peter Parker look tolerable, so imagine what he could do when he doesn't kill Peter off'
Title: Swingin' Spiderman
Suit: should be NEARLY IDENTICAL to the original, but make the eyes bigger versions of the eyes in the Raimi trilogy and maybe add blue or black fingers (like Miles Morales has red fingers on his suit). Something to show that you can take liberties with
Web shooters: Okay reader, work with me here.
The web shooters should literally tap into Peter. Wait! Don't you click that X before, letting me explain, finishing the article and telling me what you think!
You there? Good. The point of this is to explain the webbing as both a power and a device. It's simple. Peter injects the web shooter into his wrist like a Syringe, and webbing is extracted from him. Move away from the X and finish the damn article.
There are flaws with both organic and mechanical webs. Organic would not shoot out from his wrist, and he wouldn't really have the resources for mechanical, and wouldn't have that much webbing.
While this one does seem stupid on paper, it fixes these two major flaws
Gwen Stacy's death should be longer: it's a reboot, so it's only natural to make a few tweaks to the source material, but Gwen Stacy should still die.
However, my problem with this characters death, is it isn't as emotional as it should've been. I am not saying have it raining and have Peter yell her name to the heavens.
But make it so that when she dies, It's a slow death. Instead of her neck being snapped when plummeting to her doom, have Goblin pound the crap out of her for being defiant to helping him.
After Goblin leaves her for dead, Spidey stops chasing him to try to save her as every last breath sends a jolt of pain through her.
She utters her last words then dies
What to Scrap:
the clone saga, but bring Miles Morales in as the Scarlet Spider.
Superior Spiderman, nuff said.
