With X-Men First Class already on the big screen and Days of Future Past coming soon, it looks like Fox may give some of their big characters origins in the next few X-Films. So on the matter of Jean Grey and Cyclops, two of the most popular and long lasting X-Men, how should Fox do it? Why not cross them both off the list at the same time?
Some General Info:
*This ins't completely Stay in line with the comic book origins of the characters and how they joined the X-Men
*This is in line with the continuity of First Class, X-Men and X2, I'm ignoring Wolverine Origins and X-Men: The Last Stand because I heard DOFP was going to remove them from continuity anyway.
Characters:
*Scott Summers/Cyclops - 16 Years Old
*Jean Grey - 16 Years Old
*Charles Xavier - Mid 30s
Setting: Bowling Alley (This will be explained)
The first half of this script is based more on on-screen chemistry than actual dialogue
Intro:
Focus on two alleys, side by side, one with Scott and his friends, the other with Jean and her friends
[Scott and Jean are bowling at the same time, Scott scores better and walks away smirking, while the two glance at each other]
[The two's goes come around again and this time they score the same. Jean uses her power to knock the final pin down, which Scott notices]
Scott (Whispering): You know that just because you can doesn't mean it's fair.....
Jean: I don't know what you're talking about...
[Scott turns to introduce himself]
Jean: No... No names
[Scott shrugs off being rejected]
Scott: So, you keeping it a secret?
Jean: You sound like you're speaking from experience...
Scott: What are you implying?
Jean: Nothing, what are you implying Scott?
[Scott turns to face Jean, sensing an opportunity]
Scott: I never told you my name...
[Jean smirks while stalling]
Jean: It was on your scoreboard...
*This is why I wanted to set the scene in a bowling alley. It hints at Jean's future but at the same time can be explained simply*
Xavier (Telepathically): Scott, Jean, my name is Charles Xavier and I think I know what you're both implying. I also think I could use your help
*END SCENE*
