For my Justice league cast I took a different approach by using a lot of young up & coming actors for my Jla. I tried to be as original as possible. The plot of my cast will so how the Justice League came together.
The Plot
The world is adjusting to all the new heroes and Villains that are appearing. The Jla is not yet formed but each individual member is estabilisted. They are aware of each other but prefer to work alone. For the villains of my movie I used Ares & Black Manta who team up . Martian Manhunter tries to bring a group of heroes together but like all superhero teamup’s they fight & argue but eventually team up to take on the approaching threat. A few famous villains cameo including allies of certain members.
The Cast
Superman/Clark Kent – Henry Cavil (Age:30) (Man Of Steel, The Tudors & The Cold Light Of Day)
He was a pretty good Superman in my opinion although some people hated him and others loved him. Cavil has the built,the look and the acting ability to play Superman.
Batman/Bruce Wayne- Garrett Hedlund (Age:29) (Death Sentence, Four Brothers & Tron Legacy)
I based this Batman on the Year One version of the character where he is just starting out. In my Fan cast Bruce is Batman for about 3 years making him experienced aswell as pretty new. Garrett hedlund is 6ft 2 which is the same height as Bruce in the comics, Hedlund also can also pull of dark and broody characters (Death Sentence & Four Brothers) and he also has a pretty deep voice which would be kind of cool for Bruce to have. Garrett Hedlund is my choice for Nightwing in Batman vs Superman.
Wonder Woman – katie McGrath (Age: 30) (Merlin,Dracula &Damaged)
Katie McGrath is a pretty good actress. In her TV show Merlin she plays Morganna who comes of as kind and friendly but as the show progresses you start to see her darker side. I think she is capable of playing a pretty decent Wonder Woman.
Martian Manhunter – Lance Reddick (Age:50) (Fringe & White House Down)
Although he isnt that young like the rest of the JLA members he has the perfect voice for Martian Manhunter. I have seen him cast a lot of times in this role so I know a decent number of people will agree with this choice. He could bring the JLA together just like Nick Fury in the Avengers.
The Flash/ Barry Allen – Bradley James( Age: 29) (Merlin & Fast Girls)
About 3 months ago I saw someone suggest Bradley James for The Flash. Since I went for a young JLA he was the perfect fit for Barry. He has the acting abilty and the look to play Barry. He is a decent actor and I think he would make a pretty good Flash. Another actor I considered was Aaron paul but he is too old so I decided to go with Bradley james instead. Barry in my cast is already established in Central City for about 2 years now.
Green Lantern/Hal Jordan – Alex Russel (Age: 27) (Chronicle & The Host)
Alex Russel is a young underated actor. He is only 27 making him young enough for my fan cast. Alex Russell also resembles Hal Jordan. Hal Jordan in this cast is Green lantern for about 2 years making him fairly new. Alex Russel is a good actor who could be a very good young Hal Jordon in my opinion. Other actors I considered are Mike Voegel,Chris Pine and Chris Pratt but they all are too old for my cast since I wanted younger versions of the Jla
Aquaman/ Arthur Curry – Liam McCintyre (Age: 30) (Spartacus & Hercules : The legend Begins)
I have seen Liam McCintyre cast as Aquaman a lot of times. He is a very good actor and he is still pretty young so that’s why I chose him. Aquaman in my cast would be arrogant and stubborn and I think McCintyre could pull this of really well. He has the right built and acting acting ability for the role. I considered Travis Fimmel but he was too old for this cast so I used McCintyre instead.
Ares-Edgar Ramirez (Age:36) (Zero dark Thirty & Wrath Of The Titans)
Edgar Ramirez is a good actor who has the built, height and acting ability. He also has this intense and intimidating look. He did play Ares in Wrath Of The Titans and did a pretty good job. I chose Ares to be the Main villian for my cast.
Black Manta – Isaiaah Washington (Age:50) (Greys Anatomy,Romeo Must Die & Ghost Ship )
He is a good actor who isnt getting much attention these days. He is out of the spotlight but he still is a good actor who is definitly capable of playing Black Manta. He has the height and the acting ability for the role so why not?
Lex Luthor – Benedict Cumerberbatch (Age:37) (Star Trek:Into Darkness & Sherlock)
Benedict is a very good actor who could make a very good Lex for the Man Of Steel sequel. He has the right built and height aswell as the acting ability to pull of Lex. Lex in my cast is not the main villain but a side villain who believes that change is in order to survive in a world full of people with abilities that’s why he creates Metallo.
Metallo/ John Corben – Josh Holloway (Age:44) (Lost)
Metallo can be introduced taking on Superman. He is created by Lex to takedown Superman. Josh Holloway is a good actor who has the acting ability to pull of Metallo. He also has the right built for the role. His role would be about 15 minutes.
The Riddler – David Anders (Age: 33) (Once Upon A Time, Vampire Diaries & Arrow)
Riddler can be introduced during the cause of the movie as a villain taking on Batman. David Anders is a decent actor who would be pretty cool as the Riddler. This cast does not take place in the same unverse as Arrow since David Anders was in an episode. Riddler would be in the movie for about 10 minutes.
The Joker- Michael Sheen (Age:44) (Tron: Legacy & Twilight: Breaking Dawn part 1 & 2)
Ledger made the perfect Joker in my opinion but Michael Sheen would also do great Job because he has that same creepy vibe Ledger had as the Joker but he also has this fun sarcastic side (Tron: Legacy) which Sheen stared alongside Garrett Hedlund. He would make a pretty cool Joker in my opinion. The Batman will be introduced taking on the Joker & his men.
The Supporting cast
Amy Adams and laurence Fishburne will be returning as Lois Lane and Perry White (Man OF Steel).
Dick Grayson – Dakota Goyo (Age: 14) (Thor & Real Steel)
Dakota Goyo is a pretty good kid actor. Dick is currently Robin for couple of months in this cast. He would be in the movie for about 10 minutes appearing in the Bat cave and Wayne manor.
Alfred Pennyworth – Timothy Dalton (Age:69) (The Tourist,License To Kill & Hot Fuzz)
I have seen him cast as Alfred a few times but he is a good actor. He did play James Bond back in the day and Alfred is an ex- spy. He would have the same screen time as Dick Grayson by appearing in the Bat cave and wayne Manor.
Iris – Ana Kendrick (Age:28) (Pitch Perfect, 50 50 & Twilight)
She is a good actress who has proven herself outside of Twilight. She is still pretty young so she was the right age for my cast.
Carrol – Olivia Wilde (Age:29) (Tron: Legacy & The Incredible Burt Wonderstone)
She is in a lot of fancasts these days and I have seen her cast as Carrol a lot of times so I know people will agree with this choice.
Mera - Evan Rachel Wood (Age:26) (Ides Of March, Thirteen & The Wrestler)
She is talented actress who kind of resembles Mera. She is still pretty young so she was a perfect fit for my fan cast .
Jim Gordon – Sean Bean (Age:54) ( The lord Of The Rings, Equalibrium & Game Of Thrones)
He is a very good actor and a very unique choice for Gordon. Gordon will be in the movie for about 10 minutes. For those Bean fans he will not end up dying in this movie like he does in most of his roles. I also considered Cranston but decided to be a little unique.
Jimmy Olsen – Dylan O” brien (Age:22) (Teen Wolf,The Intership & New Girl)
Dylan is a good actor who can pull of comedy roles. Olsen will be in the movie for about 15 minutes. This choice has been used a number of times so a lot of people will agree with this pick.
If I get a decent response to my cast I will make a 2nd cast with new villains and additional league members. Then main villain for my next cast will be Deathstroke played by Max Martini (Pacific Rim,Saving Private Ryan & Revenge)
