Part 2 of My picks for the Top 10 Comic Books of the last 10 years

#5 Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War
Writer: Geoff Johns, Dave Gibbons, Peter Tomasi, Ron Marz, Alan Burnett
Artist: Ethan Van Sciver, Ivan Reis
Publisher: DC

Containing on of the best cliffhangers I've seen in comics for a long time, Geoff Johns great writing brings together one of DC's best event books, coupled with Sciver's amazing artwork, this book is a must for Green lantern fans everywhere. The story centers around the Green Lanterns of Earth: Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart and Guy Gardner and the rest of the Green Lantern Corps as they fight an interstellar war against the Sinestro Corps, an army led by the former Green Lantern Sinestro who are armed with yellow power rings and seek a universe ruled through fear.

#4 The Ultimates 1&2
Writer: Mark Miller
Artist: Bryan Hitch
Publisher: Marvel

Mark Miller has done some amazing writing in his career, one of his best works are The Ultimates 1&2. Basically a retelling of how the Avengers got together (only this time as The Ultimates) Miller created what many believe to be a "widescreen, cinematic structure". This amazing series has even been effecting the recent string of Marvel Studios movies.

#3 DC: The New Frontier
Writer: Darwyn Cooke
Artist: Darwyn Cooke
Publisher: DC

Winning multiple awards from The Eisner, Harvey to Shuster, Cookes awesome series details the beginnings of the Justice League set to a Silver Age background. Taking up both Writing and Artwork duties, Cooke re-creates the cheerful nature not really seen since the 1950's-60's. The story bridges the gap from the end of the Golden Age to the beginning of the Silver Age in the DC Universe.

#2 Annihilation
Writer: Keith Giffen , Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, Simon Furman , Javier Grillo-Marxuach
Artist: Andrea DiVito
Publisher: Marvel

I normally don't read many event comics but something about Annihilation made me pick it up when it started in late 2005. I'm glad I did, Annihilation is amazing, although it didn't include well known characters, instead focusing on lesser known characters such as Drax the Destroyer and Ronan the Accuser. the writing team did an amazing job in making long-lasting changes to the MU, most notably to the character Nova becoming the "leader" of a small force that challenges a massive, endless army. Boating incredible artwork, this series is not to be missed

#1 The Walking Dead
Writer: Robert Kirkman
Artist: Tony Moore, Charlie Adlard
Publisher: Image Comics

Probably the best comic series I think to come out of the last 10 years, The Walking Dead is an amazing series, full of complex characters and emotion, Robert Kirkman has made a zombie apocalypse filled with realistic characters that every reader can relate to in one way or another. alone with phenomenal black and white arwork by both Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard, this series does not disappoint.

So there is My Top 10 Comic Books from the passed 10 Years, hope you liked them :)
