Movie BATMAN still wins against movie SUPERMAN! : Editorial

Huh! Really? A guy in a batsuit beats a guy who was able to carry a whole island.

I just recently conducted a poll about one of the most debated topic in comicdom who wins in a fight BATMAN or SUPERMAN. To change the playing field a little I limited our combatants powers and attributes to their recent movies. I made the premise that this is the first time that these two characters will meet, they have no prior knowledge of each other beforehand. Thinking that SUPERMAN already has the upperhand in power I made the arena BATMAN’s batcave to alteast give the DARK KNIGHT the homecourt advantage. Even with the arena clearly in BATMAN’s favor I still did not think he could actually win.

Imagine my surprise after seeing 347 correspondents to my poll that BATMAN was actually winning against SUPERMAN, not by much but still an amazing feat for a mere man fighting against somebody who would have seen like a god to him.

I actually felt bad to the SUPERMAN fans because to be honest logic dictates somebody with that much power should have no trouble fighting against normal human being. Lex Luthor made SUPERMAN’s life hard in SUPERMAN RETURNS but that is after years of studying him and learning about his weakness. In this scenario this BATMAN has only met SUPERMAN how could he find a way to defeat him?

I’m thinking if both characters are devoid of feelings SUPERMAN in a heartbeat will destroy BATMAN. Allowing these characters to act like themselves gives BATMAN a chance, though both are inherently good, BATMAN would resort to questionable tactics if he deems it required to serve his purpose, SUPERMAN would continue to be just which is part of his character.

I am fan of both characters, though more SUPERMAN than BATMAN, but I think a lot more people relates to BATMAN than SUPERMAN. It is easier to relate to a person rising up to a challenge by working hard for it than a person who was given excess gift to accomplish same task. In the end I think more people voted for a man who instills fear, than a compassionate alien whose different nature we fear.

The debate is not yet finish, for fans it might never be.

I have to say kudos by the way to those fans who thinks hard about what they write. (special mention to @TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY & @jokerking

Obviously Superman wins because Batman doesn't have krptonite in the movie yet.

Batman couldn't know Superman's secret. Superman could use x-ray vision and know The Batman's secret and fry his ass from a distance with heat vision. END.

I was confused at first about what u were comparing. When u used the word "movie" in ur headline. Wasn't sure if u were actually comparing their movies or the characters from the movies themselves, see I thought u were comparing the first donner "Superman" film to the first burton "Batman" film lol.

I see u are comparing the movie VERSIONS of them, ok then.

Well I love both. But u all know which team i'm on- TEAM SUPERMAN!

Ps- in the movies batman was always more interesting. He actually fought, personally I preferred the first two burton batman films over the first two donner superman films. Between routh's Superman and Bale's Batman, obviously Bale was waaaaaaaaay better in every, possible way. Routh was so boring and stale in 'Returns' at least Bale kicked some ass in 'Begins'

Now i'm just waiting for "banekil77" to waltz in here and start bitching at me again. Apparently I have no freedom of speech, regarding Routh :P but damn even in that above pic Routh looks so wimpy
compared to Bale. Bale looks more hulking while Routh looks skinny and blech! If comparing THOSE two, then god like I said- Bale all the way

Ps- Batman beat up Rhas Al Ghul, then Scarecrow, then a bunch of highly trained ninjas, then joker and two face.

Superman...lifted a piece of real etate into space...lol.

If anything Bryan Singer is the one who made Superman seem like a wimp. While at least Chris Nolan brought Batman back his dignity after the whole Schumacher fiasco. So movie Batman PWNS movie Superman...sadly

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY: Your right, which just gives more of a reason to Superman to win.
