My (fightmasternoel) take on nightwing part 2

So after my battle with Penguin, everyone in Gotham knew who Nightwing was, but Bruce was still there chosen protector, I didnt really blame them, anyways I really wasn’t bothered by the whole ‘new robin’ thing anymore anyways. Being my own icon was cool. I thought I would patch things up with Bruce, I could have shown up quicker, and even if he did yell at me, becoming Nightwing was something I needed to do anyways and I shouldn’t be mad about him pushing that forward. I was in costume, it only seemed right. I rode on my new and improved ‘Wing cycle’ and found the cave. I entered Batman’s security code. He didn’t know I knew it, I saw him type it in once, and remembered it. I quickly rode into it, and stopped in front of the Bat computer.”He must not be here yet.” I thought aloud. After a few minutes I heard, the entrance fill with sounds of the bat mobile entering. I hopped off my cycle, and hid around the corner. As the bat mobile stopped in its usual spot, Bats and this new kid hopped out. “You can come out from the corner Dick, I see your wing cycle, and the sensors indicated me and Jason are not alone.” Bats spoke. I walked towards them. “Id like to apologise for my over reaction to you blaming me for the ’06 incident. However id also like to thank you.” I said. “Thank me for what?” Bruce asked. “For not killing him, for jacking those masks?” the new kid snidely said. “I see my replacements a ray of sunshine.” I sarcastically said. “What did you say?” Robin shouted. “Calm yourself, Jason.” Bats said. “Anyways, thank me for what?” Batman said. “If you had gone after me,and tried to make nice, I never would have become my own person.” I explained. “I was forever stuck in the great detective’s shadow, and now, Nightwing, casts his own shadow. The bat alarm went off in the cave. ”I should get going.” I said. “Why don’t you follow me and Jason to the destination? “ Batman suggested. “Threes better than one.” He said. “Sure I said. And that’s how me and Bruce got back to working together fighting crime in Gotham.
