My MCU: Moon Knight

My MCU: Moon Knight

A story and fan cast for my second installment in my MCU, which is a film about Moon Knight. An origin story of Moon Knight, who I desperately would love to see in his own movie. Anyways, my MCU continues with the 2nd chapter, the first being The Black Panther.

The Second Chapter of my MCU, if you have not read it yet, here is the first: Black Panther -

Moon Knight is a very popular character for comic book fans. He has been called Marvel's version of Batman, and i always thought just his appearance made him an awesome character. His backstory adds to that, and here is my version of how it should go, slowly getting into the threat for the whole universe.

A teaser poster i made for the movie.

Let's start with the fan cast - no hate comments like always!

Tom Hardy - Marc Spector aka Moon Knight

A great actor, with a lot of diversity that is needed to play Moon Knight, who suffers from multiple personality disorder. That gets explained as the story in the universe continues. Hardy broke through in Bronson, and then landed "Eames" in Inception. He's gaining world wide recognition now especially from comic book fans, because he's playing Bane in the new Batman movie, and hopefully will nail the role! (Here's to hoping he doesn't make him look as bad as he looked in Batman and Robin - which im confident won't happen) Anyways, Hardy is cast in a lot of CBM's here, but i haven't seen one as Moon Knight, but i think he'd be perfect.

Jennifer Morrison - Marlene Alraune

You may remember her from House, or the movie where she starred with Hardy, Warrior. She was also in the 09' Star Trek as Winona Kirk. A great actress if you ask me, and i think she's capable of portraying Moon Knight's love interest for the first film!

Tahar Rahim - Jean Paul DuChamp aka "Frenchie"

Ok, he was in the Eagle and the acclaimed French film "A Prophet". For the latter, he won a Cesar Award for Best Actor, which are like the Oscars for France. I made this version of Frenchie more manly than he is in the comics, and changed some of the characters elements. Honestly, i just thought that a French sidekick who ends up having homosexual feelings towards the protagonist might not click with regular audiences. (Not that i'm homophobic) Rahim's french, and just has the look for how i envisioned Frenchie in my MCU.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje - Raoul Bushman

Bushman is Moon Knight's oldest enemy, and one of the villains in the first film. I just kind of thought that AAA had the look required to play Bushman, plus he's a pretty good actor.

Christopher Plummer - Dr. Peter Alraune Sr.

I have to give credit to @CrossOver here on CBM for this one. He was the first one i saw with this choice, and i couldn't pass it up. Dr. Alraune isn't around that long, but it is an important role, and i think Plummer could do it, plus, they look so much alike!

David Wenham - Werewolf Jack Russell

The Werewolf is the whole reason Moon Knight ends up having moon cycle based strength, and i think Wenham's a good actor and would be a good Werewolf.

David Kaye as the voice of Khonshu

A great voice actor, and i really liked him as Mysterio in Spiderman Shattered Dimensions. Plus his range of voices he's done makes me think that he'd easily pull off a great Khonshu - the God of Vengeance who Spector believes is his master.

James Gandolfini - Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin

The corrupt businessman who controls the city. He is very powerful and has lots of connections. His role will become expanded in the next few installments of my MCU, so stay tuned. Gandolfini is a great actor, and i think could make a pretty menacing Kingpin!

Well, let's get to the story....

MOON KNIGHT

Another poster i made for "Moon Knight". I think it's pretty good considering i didn't use any advanced Photoshop sites, just plain old "Paint".

In the second installment of the current MCU comes Moon Knight, a mercenary turned superhero who struggles to balance between the line of hero and vigilante. Formerly a mercenary for hire, Marc Spector is betrayed and left for dead by his team when he realizes the way of life is not for him. He visions of Khonshu – the moon God of Vengeance, telling him he can have a second chance if he becomes his avatar on Earth. He is taken in by Marlene Alraune, suffering from a personal tragedy, and Frenchie, a private hit man. They stay true to their promise to wage war on crime, and the evil that rises is soon Spectors’ greatest challenge. Can he stop them? Or will the evil lurking inside himself prove to be too much? Tom Hardy (Warrior, The Dark Knight Rises), Jennifer Morrison (House, Warrior) and Tahir Rahim (A Prophet, The Eagle) star in this actin packed film that features an ensemble cast also including Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Plummer, David Wenham and James Gandolfini as the Kingpin!

Marc Spector was trained as a boxer, US Marine and a CIA Operative. He gets fed up with the agency, and leaves to become a hired gun. Although he told himself he would be for good, he soon finds himself going to whoever is the highest bidder.

He begins working for Raoul Bushman, a violent mercenary who has no boundaries. He becomes his right hand man.

In Africa on one mission, Bushman executes people of Selima, in order to find Dr. Alraune and get information about the tomb of Khonshu, thinking it contains gold. They eventually find the tomb, and Marc takes interest in Marlene, Dr. Alraune’s daughter. Dr. Alraune attempts to stab Bushman in the back, but one of Bushman’s men warns him in time, and Bushman turns around and kills him.

Bushman realizes there was no gold and realizes it was a waste of time. He does, however, not want it to be a complete waste of time, and kills all of Dr. Alraune’s assistants. He threatens to kill Marlene, but Spector stops him, disgusted at his senseless murder. Spector engages him in physical combat, and they have a fight until Bushman defeats him, leaving him to die.

Marlene and one of Dr. Alraune’s private hit men, Jean Paul Du-Champ (He arrives after Marlene cries for help) tend to Spector but JP feels his pulse, and pronounces him dead. Marlene weeps over his and her fathers’ body, while Spector has a vision of the Egyptian god Khonshu telling him he can have a second chance if he becomes his avatar on earth.

Donning a cloak taken from Khonshu’s statue, Spector is taken to an underground bunker Dr. Alraune had created for his family, where they create a plan to destroy Bushman’s forces. JP (Who Spector calls “Frenchie”) and Spector plan it out, and Frenchie trains Spector at becoming a better mercenary. Spector keeps the cloak, and Marlene creates him a costume. It is the first Moon Knight costume. Frenchie even develops blueprints for a helicopter he calls the “Mooncopter” he says they can make if they make it back to the U.S.

At night, Frenchie and Moon Knight move in on Bushman’s forces. They eventually defeat them all, and move on to Bushman, who is sitting in a throne inside Dr. Alraune’s kingdom. Bushman throws a knife at Frenchie, hitting him in the arm, weakening him. Spector is forced to fight against Bushman on his own, and eventually defeats and seemingly kills him.

Spector takes Frenchie back to the bunker, and they are able to tend to his injury. Spector convinces Marlene to come with him to America, to start a new life and forget about all the recent tragedy. Frenchie comes with them too.

Spector stays true to his promise to wage war on crime. In order to stay connected to the criminal world, he creates multiple identities, all backed up with ID etc. thanks to Marlene. He creates a wealthy New York millionaire Steven Grant to help him meet with influential people. He also creates the identity of Manhattan cab driver Jake Lockley to make contacts with people on the streets.
Marlene creates him a staff which can quickly change into nun chucks and adds to his costume by putting a silver cestus on his forearms studded with spikes. He also now has silver darts shaped like crescent moons on and around his belt.

Frenchie creates the Mooncopter for him to help him travel.

While Moon Knight is still establishing his reputation, he convinces Frenchie to infiltrate the criminal financiers known as the Committee to gain information. There he learns of their plans to capture the Werewolf Jack Russell, a living werewolf who the Committee plans to use as a private mercenary.

Frenchie now offers Moon Knight’s services to the Committee, claiming Moon Knight is his employee and tells them he is an assassin. They approve, and Moon Knight fights the Werewolf, and although Werewolf bites him, (Gives him the moon cycle based strength) defeats him as the sun rises when he becomes Jack Russell again.

Moon Knight takes Russell, his lover Topaz, and his sister Lissa to the Committee, who reveal that they intend to use the Werewolf to kill their enemies, and hoped that Lissa would become a werewolf as well. A disgusted Moon Knight sets the Werewolf free, rescues Topaz and Lissa, and helps the Werewolf defeat the Committee.

However, the Committee’s leader survives and finally reveals his name – the Kingpin. He orders a $10 million dollar bounty through all of New York for Moon Knight alive or dead.
Spector becomes Marlene’s lover, and they reside in an underground hideout, similar to the one they had in Selima. Frenchie stays with them, and Moon Knight, slowly struggling to balance his identities, becomes New York’s resident crime fighter, waging war on crime and, more specifically, the Committee.

END

That's the end of Moon Knight! What'd you think? Please leave your thoughts below - except hate comments.

Also to those who read it when Taskmaster was the leader of the Committee, he still is in the universe, but thanks to @Cataract, i decided to change the leader and Taskmaster will still appear soon, and i'll probably re cast him too!

NEXT IN THE MCU:
Black Panther 2

(Yes, there is more heroes than just 2, and they get introduced after BP2.)

@Cataract - It's funny, i was thinking maybe i could have Taskmaster as a hitman instead, but left it the way it was. It's not based on Marvel Knights, but i actually noticed that alot of those characters are in my MCU and some parts of the story are similar. So i guess it's loosely based on Marvel Knights!

@Cataract - I got thinking about your idea of Taskmaster as a hireed gun, and thought of a way it could work with a new leader for the Committee. Would you mind if i use it to tweak the rest of my MCU?

After Black Panther #2 i'm doing Daredevil. (I know i said lesser used characters, but DD fits right into the series)
I wouldn't mind suggestions for a 4th hero though. He'd need to be street level to fit into the storyline, and no Iron Fist or Luke Cage as i already have them in a Heroes for Hire universe.

Perhaps Blade or Ghost Rider?

Taskmaster should be a hired gun, with the shadow king on the comittee...... ties in to Storm and the BP, seeing as how Moon Knight got his powers in egypt, which is in northern africa

Kingpin is better for daredevil, but great fancast.

@Cataract - Good ideas! I might just decide to use some of them! (If its ok,)

@Novax - Starting in the next one there will be cameos from the other heroes that have been introduced because the storyline starts picking up!

@Mrsuperheromoviefan - Kingpin has a much larger role in the Daredevil MCU, i just thought i'd introduce him in here!

@WesleyGibson - I know man, it's a little disappointing that there doesn't even seem to be TALK of a Moon Knight movie. If you look at it, there's not much difference between him and Batman, (although there are some) So if Marvel wanted to make some money, why not get a Moon Knight movie going? Seeing as Batman has been raking in the dough as of late with video games and movies.
