My Take On A Dark Spider-Man Film (with Script)

Spider-Man: The Dark of Vengeance would explore Peter's emotional downfall when faced with obsession and revenge after Norman Osborn is struck with amnesia while another Green Goblin haunts the city streets and his relationship with Gwen Stacy falls apart.

The sypnosis would be:

In the style of The Dark Knight, The Dark of Vengeance enhances the dynamic between Peter Parker and Norman Osborn. It begins with amnesiac Norman Osborn who has lost all memory of being The Green Goblin. Harry Osborn is obsessively protecting his father from the outside world. Peter becomes obsessed with Norman's condition and court case which interferes with his loving 6-year relationship with Gwen Stacy. The need for revenge becomes a prominent issue for every character, sans Gwen Stacy, and it will be known that the darkness of that vengeance will eventually be our downfall.

It would be directed in the style of DAVID FINCHER (The Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) and also photographed by cinematographer JEFF CRONENWETH (Fight Club, The Social Network) and scored by CLIFF MARTINEZ (Drive, Contagion).

NOTE: Before anyone catches it, Peter and Gwen have been together for six years yet in a conversation halfway through the script, Peter tells Norman they have been together for eight. This was a goof, and it is SIX not eight.

As for the cast, the film would be able to center in Marc Webb's universe (with two major alterations: Capt. Stacy being killed just a year previous and by Dr. Octopus as in the comics although in the script it isn't directly mentioned how he died, but Dr. Connors plays a mentor role to Gwen still, so he wouldn't have been responsible for Stacy's death AND Gwen doesn't know Peter's identity, forcing him to keep it a secret due to her blaming Spider-Man for her father's death) if sequels in between allowed everything to fall into place so a lot of the main cast would be the same:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Sally Field as Aunt May
Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors
Denis Leary as Capt. George Stacy (in photographs)
Kari Coleman as Ms. Helen Stacy

The rest of the cast would go as follows:

Jason Isaacs or Bryan Cranston as Norman Osborn
Anton Yelchin as Harry Osborn
JK Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson (or Hugh Laurie)
Danny Glover as Joe "Robbie" Robertson
Jude Law or Aaron Paul as Ned Leeds
Doug Jones as The Chameleon
Ben Kingsley as Adrian Toomes

For the last 4-5 pages, I'd suggest listening to "Another Way of Caring" from The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo soundtrack. It captures the creepy and gutting tone that the end scene represents.

That was very good fincher would be a great director. I could see the new trilogy going in that direction except Osborn and Peter have a good relation but Osborn is faking it.
