Sorry for my bad english. It is not my first language.

I know the show got very good in the last episodes, but we all know that it could have been much, MUCH better. It should have been the basis and backbone of a world of aliens, superheroes, supernatural beings, and secret organizations. It should have been about 007-type spies, evil organizations, infiltrations, betrayals, LMDs and cool stuff. It should have explored the vastness of this universe, its corners and limits. Now we can only dream of how it could have been.
Before I start I would like to say that I don’t know much about some of the characters I will use, so correct me if something I say about them is wrong.

First of all, I would have named the show S.H.I.E.L.D. Keep it short and simple.

The Team:
 Clay Quartermain and Jimmy Woo:
Clay and Jimmy should have been the protagonists. The show starts with them at the Shield Academy, the night before their graduation, where they are having a farewell party. Their relationship should be like the one between Kirk and Leonard Mccoy in the Star Trek reboot. Clay is more like a player and Jimmy is more serious and dedicated but they are both funny guys. They are rookies, and they grow and mature as the show progresses. Jimmy Woo would obviously be portrayed by John Cho.

Quake:
She is the “powerful one” of the Team. I think it would have been really nice to have a superhuman in the team. I was between her, She-Hulk or Eric O’Grady (3rd Antman). She is an experienced agent. Prior to the show’s events, she was in a mission with her partner Michael Collins, a bomb exploded near Michael, and they were both captured. Through the show, she develops a romantic relationship with Jimmy Woo.

Coulson:
At first, I hated the revival of Coulson. I thought it wouldn’t work for the character to be a leader of a team and protagonist of a show. However, I now think that he works very well as a Charles Xavier-type paternal figure. Nevertheless, I think he shouldn’t be a field agent, he should only command the missions and offer advice and guidance, just like Xavier. Moreover, it would be extremely awesome to see him in flashbacks doing solo missions as a badass 007-type spy with scuba diving suits, wingsuits and 007-type gadgets.

Fitz-Simmons:
I used to see these characters as too childish, but, like Coulson, they have grown on me. It is nice that the characters start the show as naive and childish and that we can see them gradually grow and mature as the show advances and they become increasingly involved with a more serious world. I included them because the Team can’t only have field agents. This pair of scientific geniuses makes the Team more diverse.

M-11 the Robot:
I think that every great team has a nonhuman member (or nonhuman appearance). Basically, he should be a badass C3PO, he would be really cool and awesome. The team should find him in the first episode along with Quake in the AIM facility. He should also become a very good friend to Jimmy Woo.

The Bus:
The Bus. I hate the Bus. A huge airplane? That’s the best they can come up with? I find it too simple and boring. It has no originality or fun. The Star Wars gang has the Millenium Falcon, the Xmen have the Blackbird, the Watchmen have Archie, and the Avengers kind of had the Helicarrier. I think the Team should have a super-cool ship. Maybe a mini-Helicarrier or something along the lines of Archie molded like an actual flying bus, I don’t know! Think about something.

The Equipment:
Use the classic Shield suits. They are really cool. They had them in Avengers, why did we not see Ward and May and Coulson on the classic SHIELD suits? Coulson would look epic on that suit. Maybe Fitz and Simmons should have a white version of those suits as they are not field agents. It would be really good to see them using James Bond-type gadgets (not that crap Ward uses in episode 2), Jet-Packs and wing suits. I remember reading about a really cool gadget: a pill that makes you invisible for just 30 seconds, awesomeness.

Recurring Members:
 Mockingbird:
I wasn’t sure about putting her on the team or not. I think she is better as a recurring character, appearing only in 3-4 episodes. I would establish that she, Jessica Drew, Hawkeye, the 2 Black Widows and Captain America, are “special agents”, to differentiate them from common SHIELD agents. As a side note, I would love a Secret Avengers movie with Mockingbird, Hawkeye, Black Widow (Natasha), Falcon, War Machine, Nick Fury, Captain America and maybe Spider Woman.

Black Widow (Yelena Belova):
Yelena should show up from time to time, like Garret and Triplett. Unlike the Natasha Romanoff of the MCU, she should have a Russian accent and she should be mysterious. She would develop a romantic relationship with Quartermain. On the last episode she is revealed to be member of Hydra.

She-Hulk:
I never really liked the “other Hulks” because they take away the specialness of the real Hulk, and they seem like unoriginal lazy characters. However, I’ve recently started to really enjoy the character of She-Hulk. There was a really cool series with her as a Shield agent and it worked really well. She should show up at least once. The Team could ask her for her help in some mission or something.

Maria Hill:
She should have the role that Victoria Hand has in the show.

Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) and Hawkeye:
I know i am not being very ralistic. But It would have been too goddam epic to see the join the Team for at least one episode each.

Other agents who should be mentioned or teased:
 Spider Woman:
I may be one of the few people who don’t really like this character, but this fanfic is mine! So screw you, Jessica Drew should just be mentioned as a special agent.

G.W. Bridge
Eric O’grady (3rd Antman)

Main Villains:
 AIM:
AIM should be the main antagonists of the show. On the first episode, Nick Fury assigns the Team the mission of taking down AIM. It is a criminal organization that creates and traffics weapons all over the world. The Extremis program was the "peak of the iceberg", just one of many programs, including project DATHLOCK, project QUAKE and project MODOK. Obviously, AIM scientists would wear their classic yellow suits.

MODOK:
After Killian died, scientist George Tarleton finishes Project MODOK and transfers his head to a giant supercomputer and becomes an A.I with a huge intellect (very similar as the way Arnim Zola was portrayed in CA:TWS). MODOK becomes ambitious and kills its former masters and takes control of AIM. Having a giant flying head with tiny arms and legs as the main villain would be.. odd. So he should stay as a giant supercomputer.

Taskmaster and Grim Reaper:
They should both be the seconds in command of AIM, and be regular villains that the Team has to fight. Grim Reaper was just too awesome in Avengers: EMH. If there was a second season, Taskmaster would be the main bad guy. I think it would be cool to adapt the Who is Scorpio? storyline in the 2nd season, just replace Scorpio with Taskmaster and have him be Coulson’s brother. I said before that Coulson is similar to Xavier, but every Xavier needs a Magneto! I will say more about season 2 later.

Deathlock:
Shield agent Michael Collins, after almost dying in an explosion, is rebuilt and brainwashed by AIM. He becomes a bad guy and dies in the first season.

Notes:
The objective of the show would be to establish de backbone of the MCU, establish the limits, the “rules”. I think there would be very important questions regarding superhumans on this universe. Why did they all coincidentally appear at the same moment of history (XXI century)? Why didn’t Shield recruit everybody for the Avengers? All this should be answered in a monologue by Coulson. He should say that Earth is going through a scientific revolution. Internet, atomic energy, gamma radiation, superhumans, aliens, everything is going out of control. Most of the people who acquire powers try to use them for their own benefit, and it is Shield’s responsibility to keep evil at bay.

Possible episodes/ story arcs:
 Quake Rescue
The first episode should feature Fury making Coulson assemble a team to rescue agents Daisy Johnson and Michael Collins. Coulson brings together rookie agents Clay Quartermain, Jimmy Woo, Fitz and Simmons. They attack the facility and find that AIM is behind all of this and that they have been experimenting with the bodies of Johnson and Collins. The former looks good physically and displays her new earthquake powers (even though she can’t control them yet) but the latter was horribly disfigured by an explosion and had half of his body rebuilt before he was brainwashed. He attacks the team and escapes, becoming Deathlock. All the scientists are captured and the facility explodes with all the data. This way it’s impossible that the QUAKE or DEATHLOCK projects will ever be duplicated. The Team also captures an AIM robot, M-11, and “adopts” him.

Supervillain episodes
At the start of the season, there is a breakout at the Vault prison for supervillains. I made a list of some of the villains that I am certain will never appear on the big screen. They could appear on separate episodes or they could make supervillain teams, but either way, they should appear, they are classic villains of the MCU and there is no reason for them not to appear. They are:  Chemistro, Blizzard, Living Laser, Mad Thinker, Grey Gargoyle, the Serpent Society and Red Ghost and the super apes. This would establish the world of superhumans in the MCU.

Mentallo- Operation: Brain Blast
A classic Shield story. Purpleman would make a cameo to later appear on the Jessica Jones show.

Operation: Cold War
Another classic.

Crossfire’s gang
Remember the “To steal an Antman” episode from Avengers:EMH? Well, the team of villains was awesome. It would be cool to see the Team interact with the underworld and the mobs of the MCU, establishing their existence.

Undercover
I really like the idea of the Team going undercover and infiltrating some organization or something.

SWORD
The Team goes to a Shield facility on the moon and aid SWORD in some mission regarding aliens. We explore the relation of Earth with the aliens of the MCU.

Savage Lands
I am not sure about this one because it is maybe too unreal for the already established MCU. But if done right, it could be epic. The Team visits this secret island, where Shield’s facility has been invaded by dinosaurs.

New Howling Commandos
Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine, Dum Dum Dugan and Gabe Jones.  Dugan and Jones would be the nieces of the originals. I think these are very classic Shield agents and should be showed on the show. Both teams go together on a mission.

Greek Mythology/ Atlantis
Like Norse mythology (Asgard, etc.), Greek mythology is a big part of the MU. The Team would team up with Aphrodite, or some other Greek Mythology character to fight a villain from Olympus. The Greek Gods would be explained as ancient beings from another dimension that guided early civilizations. Shield is ALREADY aware of their existence. That always bothered me about Thor. It would be much more believable if these were not the first times these beings came to Earth and if Shield was already aware of them. There should be a secret Shield division dedicated to them and maybe even some kind of ambassadors from Asgard and Olympus. Anyway, the episode would set up the world and character of Aphrodite for the awesome Agents of ATLAS spinoff series. They should also mention Atlantis.

Damage Control
This would be the crossover episode with T:TDW. Lorelei would cameo.

Wrecking Crew- Lorelei
Lorelei was released from her Asgardian prison and came to Earth. She grants the Wrecking Crew Asgardian weapons and it is up to the Team to take them down.

Dr Strange/ Supernatural mission
I know most people won’t agree with me on this one, but I am not a fan of this character. Therefore, I am kind of sad that Marvel is making him a movie instead of Black Panther, a Hulk sequel, Inhumans,  a GotG sequel, Nova, etc. I think Kevin Feige is doing this because he wants to establish the limits of the MCU before it’s too late. So I think that establishing the Supernatural part of this world in a couple of episode of SHIELD would be better. The Team would team up with Dr Strange for a mission regarding a supernatural foe. There should be a secret Shield division dedicated to supernatural problems. If not Dr Strange, somebody else, but a supernatural mission would be great!

Blade
This would be very similar to the one with Dr. Strange. It would serve to establish the world of vampires in the MCU. Of course, Shield has always been aware of their existence.

Hawkeye- Rescue of Mockingbird:
I would love an episode in which the Team has to rescue Mockingbird, who has been captured by AIM. Hawkeye volunteers because he is her former mentor, kind of like when Ethan Hunt rescues his protégé in MI:3. Taskmaster would appear and we would see some cool action scenes.

Finale
It would consist of 2 episodes where The Team takes down AIM forever. The last 10 minutes of the last episode are dedicated to show the downfall of Shield, how it affects the characters and how each of them goes on a separate way. In the last scene we see Black Widow (Yelena Belova) saying Hail Hydra.

Season 2:
I think they should not do a season 2 as the show could never be as good as season one with Shield gone. But if they did, they should pick up 1 year later. The Team has disbanded. Clay Quartermain has been tracking down Black Widow Yelena Belova, his former love interest, who betrayed him and revealed to be a member of Hydra. Jimmy Woo and M-11, after the downfall of Shield, formed the Agents of ATLAS. That story would be covered in an awesome spinoff series. The other members have all retired. This season would be based on the classic Who is Scorpio? Storyline. Only Scorpio would be replaced by Taskmaster who the Team has to track down throughout the season. Eventually, it is revealed that Taskmaster is Couldon's belived-dead brother.I said before that Coulson is similar to Xavier, but every Xavier needs a Magneto!

Agents of Atlas spinoff series:
It would follow Jimmy Woo, who along with his teammates, follows the Atlas Foundation all over the world, unlocking secrets about his teammate’s former lives, restoring Namora to life, and eventually confronting Yellow Claw.
