Here are the results:

#1. Professor X - 37 Votes (47.44%)

#2. Jean Grey - 21 Votes (26.92%)

#3. Nate Grey - ? Votes (?)

Note: Due to the question mark over whether Franklin Richards should be considered a true telepath, and the fact that at least four people would have voted for X-Man (as distinct from Cable) were he included on the poll, Nate Grey takes third place.

Why isn't X-Man (Nate Grey) on here?

WTF? No Nate Grey?? You got a pic of him on top and yet he's not in the poll?!? That's screwed up. Other than Nate, his "mom", Jean Grey, is probably the most powerful telepathic mutant around... with Prof. X close at her heels.... Prof X needed Cerebro to further enhance his already formidable powers whereas Jean can also use Cerebro in the same manner... sometimes not, with the use of the full powers of the Phoenix. Nate Grey was once shown to be able to do all of that WITHOUT the aid of Cerebro on a planetary scale and classed as an "Omega", he's like the Phoenix Force without the dark "I'm gonna kill everything" vibe.

Your poll is lacking.... other than that if you just go on the list based on the poll alone: Jean Grey (Queen Jean - the one that is without any moral qualms whatsoever in regards to how she uses her powers to its fullest extent).

Nate Grey would blow your poll out of the water unless you add Dark Phoenix in there. Dark Phoenix is completely loco (no restraint whatsoever), so we can consider Nate as a Light Phoenix - the good guy without the psychological tendencies.

Theyre the same as far as how they were born. Cable was naturally born from Cyclops and Madalyne Pryor (Jean Greys clone) and X-Man was born from Cyclops and the real Jean Grey's genetical material. Stryfe was cloned from Cable, so technically, those two are the same.
But they are different in their own right. But if he was a choice, X-Man would definitely be the strongest, even moreso than Professor X.
X-Man and Cable actually fought and Nate kicked his butt. :-).

@SageMode: true, genetic resemblance only between the two with a slightly different beginnings. Nate Grey was originally a test-tube baby... lab-grown via Mr. Sinister's experiments in creating the ultimate mutant using genetic material from Scott and original Jean - Nate (X-Man) Grey was originally named Nathaniel Essex by Sinister. Cable (born Nathan Christopher Charles Summers), on the other hand, looks to have been birthed naturally and was shanghied to the future.

From Marvel.wikia......
X-Man

Phoenix Force (potential avatar): Nate has a Grey Genome, that according to Shi'ar makes him a possible Phoenix Avatar. He is also strong enough like Phoenix, and he was once surrounded by an aura similar to Phoenix.

@Hamm3rtym3: True, Franklin Richards shouldn't even be in the category due to the fact he really isn't a cut-and-dry telepath... which is usually psionics mostly. The poll should really have mutant telepaths only.... Franklin's psionics are suspect, some say they are part of his reality-manipulating powers, or merely a byproduct because of it. He could easily win as most powerful Earth-borne mutant hands down... no contest... but if someone were to narrow the category down to pure mutant telepaths - primarily in the use of psionics - Nate (X-Man) Grey gets the crown every time with his mother - the original Jean Grey - as a close tie (and that includes the Phoenix Force in either of them).
