Over the past few years, Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios have brought us "Phase One" of what will likely become the greatest cinematic representation of comic books in history, and as devoted comic book fans, we know look forward to what Marvel Studios has entitled "Phase Two", that will ultimately culminate with The Avengers 2, the sequel to the greatest superhero team-up movie ever made.

Like many fans who have talents within the many disciplines of the arts, the yearn to show our respect, gratitude, and appreciation for what Marvel Studios has brought to us has lingered within our minds. After many long discussions, we have decided, as a group of filmmakers, writer, actors, digital artists, voice actors, costumers, and whatever else we may be able to have on our resumes, we decided to put these talents to use and develop a fan-film which we hope becomes the greatest homage to Paramount and Marvel Studios' cinematic universe ever created.

Wanting to directly link our fan-film to the universe that was established in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Incredible Hulk, and The Avengers, we have chosen what we feel is a unique and creative story idea that will lead to an exciting and rewarding cinematic experience for Marvel and comic book fans throughout the world. What follows is a brief-synopsis of the film's story and a listing of the characters that make up the eponymous Progeny. Some creative license was taken in fan re-imagining the X-Men and Spider-Man as if they were brought into the universe established by Paramount and Marvel, because while we wanted to remain true to the universe, we also understood the desire to see such figures as Wolverine and Spider-Man in an Avengers film.

Synopsis: Earth is at peace. The efforts of such superhero teams like The Avengers and the X-Men have ushered in a new era of prosperity and technological development for not just the United States, but also the world. But, when a new, strange warning of a threat emerges in the far off nation of Latveria, and The Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D., and X-Men dismiss the idea, Tony "TJ" Stark, Jr. and Clarissa "Chick" Fury respond by doing the only thing left: forming a new team to be the Earth's greatest defenders. They are the legacy of the greatest superheroes to protect our world. Born with the blood of Avengers and X-Men flowing in their veins, they are the next generation that will become Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

They are the Progeny.

Iron Lad (Tony "TJ" Stark Jr.)
War Boy (James "Rhodey" Rhodes Jr.)
American Girl (Elizabeth "Betsy" Liberty Rogers)
Valkyrie (Isolde Thorsdottir)
Arachnid (Benjamin "Ben" Richard Parker)
Osprey (Caroline Barton)
Hot Shot (Vivienne "Viv" LeBeau)
Current (Tempest "Temp" Howlett-Munroe)

As the project continues to develop and the screenplay continues to be written and fine-tuned, more details will be released as to the direction we indeed to go, as well as a few surprises that we know other fans will love as much as we do.

We will be offering a number of "producer" and "credit" packages that will grant credit in the film, as well as a number of other perks depending on the amount donated.

We hope that this project can become not just a collaborative effort by those behind the project, but also by the collective community of Marvel and comic book fans who would love to have their name on such a bold and ambitious homage to the films we have come to love and appreciate.

Honest advice?
Story is a decent idea, but the Characters sound super-lame. They need improvement. "TJ" and "Chick"? really? Are we 15? Do we live in the 1930s?
The superheroes aren't bad except for "Iron Lad", "War Boy" and "American Girl". Don't make her name Liberty, use it as a code name. Just Elizabeth Rogers sounds fine.

I like the idea, but not tje plot.

The names are good, depending on wich way you will take - a girl named Chick looks funny and inoffensive, but the name would hide the most dangerously girl of all.

And the guy upstairs is right, this idea has been made in The Next Avengers animation.

Good luck.

We'll be updating the Tumblr with character bios soon to give a glimpse into the sorts of people these characters are. If your interested in how we're handling that, you should keep an eye on the Tumblr page. :)

And thanks for those wishing us the best!

why don't you just make your own original film?
If you have all these resources and want to make a film that an homage to the MCU just make an original story line that uses the same elements and ideas that the MCU has.
If you do decide to keep being a fan film then you need to change your characted names. Why can't TJ just be Iron Man? Why does he have to be Iron Lad? If this is the future and they're combining to face a threat then we have to assume that the Original Avengers aren't there or willing to face it. So if in your universe Iron Man (Tony Stark) isn't around then his son could take over the mantle as Iron Man. It's well established in the comics that heroes will pass on the role to up and coming heroes.
Also why do you keep including Paramount as the makers of the MCU? They only distributed and that wasn't even for all the films. Universal distributed Hulk and Disney distributed Avengers (just with Paramounts name attached as a concession for nullifying Marvels contract with them). Marvel got the funding and then made the films themselves, they're independent productions...that's why they're so good.
