SHARE MY THOUGHTS:

           these are my beloved characters of the series and were important most of the time and had a long run in the  series,of course there are other characters that contributed to certain events and the stream of the storyline but I only sticked to casting fan favorite characters.

I was disapointed with the live action movie especially when it comes to the cast,a whitewashed cast who were terrible at delivering a good performances of the characters,the storyline was meh,since it was adapted from the tv show of 20 ep,they couldn't get all things right.also I wouldn't mind seeing Indian or Native american actors also.

Most of people think ATLA should stay an anime but I think it's a great story and have rich ideas and plenty of myths and cultures to it  that could give this story the chance of becoming the next harry potter.

Loving your fancast bro. Big fan of the series here. I only didn't like your cast of Sokka, Katara, and Azula. Oh and Aang looks like this now (I'm ok with that)

Aang would look older than Sokka. I think Kelsey Chow would be better for Katara : . Don't know about who could play Sokka. Your pick for Sukki is amazing too, she looks like she could pull off Opal in a Legend of Korra adaptation.

Great job bro. I wish Hollywood would use more Asians in movies, that take place in Asia. I personally like The Legend of Korra more, but Avatar paved the way for that series. So I give credit where it's do. I think Avatar could have been a very successful film series if Nickelodeon and Paramount found a director that cared for the film. Sadly they didn't, which is disappointing. Hopefully someday there will be a director that will be faithful to the material and tries again. Because the world of Avatar is rich. Maybe set it in a different time period, because there has been many Avatars and this way you can tell their stories.

silverhawk@ Thank you I am also a big fan of the series? ATLA is amazing story and deserve to be in the big screen and your pick for Katara is amazing too I think she would make a cool princess Yue too. you didn't say why you disliked my choices for Sokka Katara and azula.

RedNTheHood @ No Katara and Sokka are not asian, they are inuit and could easily pass for native american, I would take asian actors as sokka and katara anyday than having white actors playing them

@BlackIceJoe Yeah I agree with you i wish the previous movie would have been more asian influence or at least had asian flavor to it, I think ATLA could be the next harry potter movie if it given the right director and a writer.

because the different benders are from different locations shouldn't there be more than just Asians in the cast, there should be different nationalities for each nation

redrobin1986@ That's what I was trying to do I tried to make it strongly asian influence.

Japanese,Chinese,korean,thai,Vietnamese,indian,inuit,native american...etc all of these ethnicities should be used in the movie but for me It was just too hard making the casting because i don't a lot of actors.

I think the fire nation are Japanese influenced,remember WW2 when japan tried to take Asia and conquer it that's the same thing goes with the fire nation.

Earth Nation are of Chinese influence and Vietnamese I think, I always vietam people had a strong connetion with the land since they used it to hide during the war.

Air Nation are of indiand influence,Buddhism and Hinduism

and the water nation are from inuit and native american influences

I made my own Avatar movie script about a year ago. Tried to do fancasting too but those damn child actors always just grow up too fast. Brandon Soo Hoo would've made an awesome Aang few years ago. As for Sokka and Katara, I use to cast Kawennahere Devery Jacobs and Booboo Stuart as them; native of american both.
Anyway yours is good.

I always thought that Firenation is kinda of patchwork as a nation. Probably not their first conqouering war, scum of the earth coming in during dark centuries, multiple coups during history. I would cast asian actors, malayan/filipino actors, but also half white half asian/indian actors (like Ben Kingsley perhaps?).
@Theunderdog only caucasians I ever thought casting were Cheecs and Chong, making cameo as hippie-nomads form "cave of two lovers" (one of those characters is named Chong after Tommy Chong).

Odin@ the firenation always reminded me of Japan during world war 2 and of the mangol when they tried to conquer the world, I would think that the firenation pride and arrogance is what make them think they are the best to rule the world after all FIRE represent ego and arrogance.

I accept all asian and half white half asian like you mention ben kingsley i have cast gim as tenzin in korra fancast.

Yeah I remember that story of two lovers but I fear that story won't make it to live screen cause there is too much going on.

regarding Tenzin i think it would be a waste not to cast J K simmons in the role, i know he's not asian but he is Tenzin's voice actor and a few characters in the series dont really look Asian.

also by the way the air nomads are based of the Tibetan monks.

@Theunderdog In my script they(stoners) make cameo already in the first movie(based on first season). They have like two lines one scene whre they distract Firenation soldiers by offering them cactus-juice on the roadside.

kinghulk@ The best thing about the legend of korra it can be translate to a movie much better than ALTA cause there only 10 episode and they stories go in same direction, plus korra has awesome villians than aang ever had

agreed, amon would look awesome on screen too bad thanks to shyamalan it will probably never happen :(. i would go nuts if it did happen and korra has a lot of movie potential. i imagine they would skip the whole bolin being captured and blend that scene where they remove lighting bolt zolt's bending with the attack on the pro bending arena.

on the other hand why not have an animated movie? that way we get to keep the voice actors.

kinghulk@ I agree Korra is so movie potential than ATLA, the villians on that show are scary and threatening and very grounded and realistic, I never understood lord ozai or the firenation goal's they were just asshole, but korra's villian's had a specific purpose that challenged the main character on different levels and interfer with her desinty.

Animated movie would be much better than a live action and the avatar legacy need to be carried because ATLA AND KORRA ARE AMAZING CREATION

agreed too bad nickelodeon had to screw it up, cant believe it's almost over, but on the bright side book 4 looks awesome so far and i love the look of Kuvira. i hope they do come back for another series because that would be awesome i have so many ideas for what they could do so i can only imagine what sort of stuff they have in their heads.

kinghulk @ Yeah it's kind of sad seeing korra ending, she is a great avatar she is different than aang and at the same time they are alike, korra always reminded of rogue from the x-men they both kick ass and I am excited for kuvira also and seeing the whole gang kicking some serious ass this season.

I think an animated movie would be cool I always wanted to see animated about kyoshi and kyoshi warriors.

that would be cool, i really love the metal benders in Korra they are just awesome i would love to see that on film. i liked the fight in book 3 between Lin and Su despite being weak Lin put up one heck of a fight. i also think ming hua with her water arms would look awesome on the big screen.

im sad that this show is ending now :(

@Theunderdog Bumi and Jet don't show up until the second movie, Jet's part is also very minimized compared to the series. Jeong Jeong is cut out completely, in final movie his place in order of White Lotus is taken by the Fire Sage who helped Gaang in temple of Roku.

i love Bumi (both king bumi and commander Bumi), i would love to see some old looking actor suddenly take a robe of and reveal huge pecks and kick everyone asses it would be so funny to watch. it would also be cool to see one of Bumi's crazy plans go according to plan.

@Theunderdog - Hey bro, I don't think we get notifications that you replied unless you put the @ before our name. At least that was the case for me. My bad, I searched Sungwoong Yoon on google to try and see a current pic. I think he's a good choice nonetheless. I didn't like your Katara and Sokka because they are not Inuit/Native American but I understand your choice, finding a young Inuit actor is hard. I've tried haha. Your Katara is starting to grow on me though. I didn't like your Azula because I think she better fits June the bounty hunter. Rosa Kato would be better fitted for Azula in my opinion, it doesn't hurt that she straight up looks the part. Anyways, great job again man. Cannot wait until tomorrow's episode, just wish the series didn't have to end so soon.
