Aquaman is a superhero that stars in many comic book titles by DC Comics. Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, the character debuted in More Fun Comics #73 (November 1941). Initially a backup feature in DC's anthology titles, Aquaman later starred in several volumes of a solo title. During the late 1950s and 1960s superhero-revival period known as the Silver Age, he was a founding member of the Justice League of America. In the 1990s Modern Age, Aquaman's character became more serious than in most previous interpretations, with storylines depicting the weight of his role as king of Atlantis. Later accounts reconciled both facets of the character, casting Aquaman as serious and broody, saddled with an ill reputation and struggling to find a true role and purpose beyond his public side as a deposed king and a fallen hero.
NOTE: This Fancast is a part of my DC Comics Cinematic Universe. This universe pretends like no other comic book movie or TV series has ever been outside of this cinematic universe. Anyone recasted or who is in a cbm role already casted as another character does not matter.
About the Movie
Origin of Atlantis
Years ago there was city called Atlantis. It was blessed by the gods with wealth and other great things. The Atlanteans, despite being blessed by almost all the gods worshipped Poseidon. Out of jealousy the others gods found them ungrateful and stopped their flow of blessings. Zeus demanded Poseidon to sink Atlantis to the bottom of the ocean. Poseidon refuses. Zeus then threatens Poseidon saying that if he doesn’t sink Atlantis, Poseidon would be banished to the bottom of the ocean as a mortal left for dead.
Poseidon gives in and sinks Atlantis. But Poseidon then blesses them with the ability to survive underwater and secretly rules them as their king. Zeus eventually finds out Poseidon’s plan. Poseidon than says to Zeus that his instructions were to sink Atlantis, he did not say he had to kill them. Zeus lets them live, but says Poseidon need to focus more on ruling the entire ocean not just Atlantis, and says that Poseidon must end his reign has king. Poseidon gives the crown to his half god, half Atlantean son.
Atlantis
Atlantis should have ancient and futuristic parts to it. For example in the two pictures above you see Atlantis as a modern day city and Atlantis as an ancient city. Some parts are restored and remain ancient others are where we are if not a head of where we are today.
The Suit
I think the suit should be like one of the three above. (They are in no particular order of how I like them)
1.) I think suit number 1 captures two thirds of what the suit needs. The superhero and the king. The bling and the regalness gives it a kingly quality and the bright color scheme gives it the superhero quality.
2.) I think this captures only the king part of it. It’s the most regal out of the three which is why I chose it.
3.) The third one I think captures the king side and the warrior side. It’s scaly and has an underwater feel. It seems like it came out of a movie about the medieval times. It’s my favorite one and would work well in a movie, but the only gripe I have about it is some of the superhero quality is missing.
Maybe a mix between #1 and #3 would be the best.
The Director
Alan Taylor would be a great director. He’s directed Game of Thrones and the upcoming Thor: The Dark World, which both look great. I think he can capture Atlantis well. He also directed the Sopranos and Oz.
The Tone
I think the tone should be somewhere inbetween GOT and the first Thor movie. Which I’m guessing is around the tone of Thor TDW,but I wouldn’t know for sure.
The Writer(s)
I don’t know who I want for all of the writers, but I do want at least these two people. Steven S. DeKnight and Geoff Johns. Why these two people.
Deknight wrote 32 episode of the starz television series Spartacus. The writing is exceptional and I love the series. Geoff Johns because he brung the bad@ss to aquaman in 2011 with his new 52 comic. These together could make the ultimate Aquaman film.
Powers
Aquaman’s powers are changed almost everytime a new writer steps on board. Here are his powers according to me.
• Superhuman
o Strength
o Speed
o Durability
o Senses
• Marine Telepathy
o Not talking to them. He can control them and hack into their brain and have their memories and see through their eyes
• Master Swimmer
• Expert
o Combatant
o Tactician
• Control Over Water
o Think waterbender from Avatar the Last Airbender

He returns home and blames it on the sharks lead by Nanaue, and says they want to go to war. Atlan sends Orm and the atlantean army to battle the sharks. Orm does not battle the shark, but he returns to atlantis a week later and claims to have destroyed them . Atlan appoints Orm to the throne before he dies. Orm becomes an evil dictator over Atlantis.(the above paragraph is told as a story by Vulko, it is not shown)
A resistance starts in Atlantis against Orm. It is lead by Vulko, an old friend of Atlan. Vulko goes to the surface world to find Orin. He andOrin going by the name of Arthur return to Atlanis only tobe thrown in prison with the rest of the resistance. Arthur, Vulko, Mera and Iqulalead the resistanceescape and wage war on the monarchy of Atlantis. They win and banish Orm and Arthur becomes king.
Orm is granted powers by the demon Neron. He now calls him self the ocean master. He plans to cast a spell that would flood the entire world causing Arthur to leave Atlantis to save his adopted world so Orm could take the throne for himself. Can Arthur stop Orm before it is too late.
I think McIntyre would make an excellent Aquaman. He has the look and acting ability to play him
Others Considered:
Chris Hemsworth
Sam Worthington
Benedict Cumberbatch is perfect for this role. He was the best part of Star Trek Into Darkness. If he brings what he brung to that role to this one he’ll make the movie 10 times better.
Others Considered:
none
I think Evan Rachel Woodwould make an excellent Mera. She haseverything Mera needs. Beauty and she can play a strong female character.
Others Considered:
Rachel Nichols
Yvonne Strahvoski
I think Jeremy Irons would make a great Vulko. He kinda resembles the new 52 version of him
Others Considered:
none
I think Bomer would make a great Iqula. In the comics he is the king of the Tritonians. In this film he is a part of the resistance and is appoint as the king of them by Arthur towards the end.
Others Considered:
Ian Somerhalder
I’ve seen Josh Hollowy casted as Aquaman before and I think he is one to old and two just ont right for the part. So icasted him as Aquaman’s father Atlan. Atlan is only seen as a spirit talking to Aquaman andin one of Vulko’s flashbacks.
Others Considered:
Chris Hemsworth
Ewan McGregor would make a great Tom Curry. Curry would only be seen in Aquman’s flashbacks
Others Considered:
none
