Is Batman tough enough to tangle with some of Marvel's villains?

In response to the voting, Batman is now going up against some of Marvel's rogues gallery. Can he survive?

Batman is one of the toughest non-powered heroes within the DC Universe as well as one of the smartest. There is no debate he is the greatest detective but there is some debate as to whether or not he has the ability to defeat the likes of Superman and other high powered heroes. Batman may not be able to defeat them, but he does have a contingency plan in case any heroes decide to go rogue. A prime example of this is within the pages of JLA: Tower of Babel. Within this story arc, we find Batman's has been keeping records concerning the strengths and weaknesses of his allies in the JLA, including plans to neutralise his allies in a fight. Another case of Batman's intelligence is he keeps a kryptonite ring in his utility belt in case he has to face Kryptonians or even the man of steel himself.

But can he defeat them with these contingencies in place? And what if Batman somehow makes it into the Marvel Universe? More than likely, Batman would get a feel for his surroundings and learn to adapt as he always does. The following fights will be left to the fans as to who is the better fighter. Assume Batman has been in the Marvel Universe for a month and has been in hiding, while gathering data on his coming opponents. If he were to face some of these characters, would he actually win, or would he fall? It's time for you to decide...is Batman tough enough?

"Sometimes, I admit, I think of Bruce as a man in a costume. Then, with some gadget from his utility belt, he reminds me that he has an extraordinarily inventive mind. And how lucky I am to be able to call on him." --Superman

Baron Von Strucker vs. Batman:
Baron Von Strucker

Batman
24 Votes (82.76%)
Even with his years of combat experience, Wolfgang is beaten in a matter of seconds. The dark knight wastes no time taking down the Baron because he is well aware of his death spores and healing factor. Batman immediately goes on the offensive and knocks the Baron out cold before he even realized what was happening.

Baron Zemo vs. Batman:
Baron Zemo

Batman
17 Votes (73.91%)
Although he was able to hold his own a little better, Zemo stands no chance either. The dark knight attempts to get the drop on Helmut from the shadows but he predicts the attack and is initially able to defend himself. After a few minutes and multiple dodges from the Baron's blade, Bruce manages to get close enough and land a punishing combo to take Zemo out of the fight.

Batroc the Leaper vs. Batman:
Batroc the Leaper
2 Votes (10.0%)
Batman
18 Votes (90.0%)
Batroc attempts to use his savate skills to get the upper hand on Batman, but fails miserably. After a few moves, the dark knight disables the leaper by breaking one of his legs and then knocking him flat on his face.

Blizzard vs. Batman:
Blizzard
5 Votes (25.00%)
Batman
15 Votes (75.00%)
Blizzard attempts to keep the dark knight at bay with his cryokinesis powers but after his fight with Iceman and multiple rounds with Mr. Freeze, Batman adapts and overcomes by disabling Donalds suit. This leaves Blizzard defenseless and from there its lights out.

Boomerang vs. Batman:
Boomerang
3 Votes (17.65%)
Batman
14 Votes (82.35%)
This particular battle comes down to the better marksman. Unfortunately its not Boomerang. He takes to the air and attempts to defeat Batman from higher ground, but Bruce disables Boomerang's jets and while Fred is falling, the dark knight a few precisely aimed exploding batarangs to his point of impact. Once Boomerang hits the ground, the batarangs are there to meet and put him out of the fight.

Constrictor vs. Batman:
Constrictor
5 Votes (33.33%)
Batman
10 Votes (66.67%)
Constrictor comes into the battle, cables flailing about, trying to make contact with the dark knight but with no luck. Batman has studied the adamantium element closely because he knows how many combatants use it. Bruce dodges every attempt made by Frank and uses his momentum to get close and gain the upper hand. Once he moves in Batman disables the pack on Constrictor's back that powers his cables and make them dead weight. From that point, its just a matter of a few successful kicks to the face and Constrictor is down.

Crossbones vs. Batman:
Crossbones
8 Votes (38.10%)
Batman
13 Votes (61.90%)
Crossbones gives Batman a run for his money from the start. He begins by expending almost all of his ammunition from all the hardware he's carrying. From there, he throws a few knives, hitting Batman only one time. From this point, its a matter of who is the better hand-to-hand combatant. Both fighters land some decent blows but in the end, the dark knight emerges victorious.

This round was not too friendly for the villains because Batman dominated this round. There were probably some villains who may have been able to take the dark knight but the voters have spoken...

Love Batman...but he loses in all these fights. The Realistically the "Batman always wins" scenario wouldn't always play out.

But I'll probably get bashed for saying that. :P

Blech I miss the edit button.

I messed up on my comment- "Realistically the (Batman always wins)scenario wouldn't always play out"

nah, he would beat Batroc the Leaper.

and Crossbones would be a very good fight. They're about equal in hand to hand. sure crossbones uses guns, but Batman fights people with guns all the time and survives.

it would be very close.

I don't know for sure. I thought Batroc was a pretty goofy character but I read an issue of Captain America (w/Bucky as cap) and he had him on the ropes a bit.

of all those, Crossbones and Zemo would have given Bats the most trouble, but he could have taken any of them
