2000

Gladiator won easily, with almost twice as many votes as the 2nd place finisher, Memento .

2001

The first installment in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring , won quite easily, with only slight competition from Training Day .

2002

In a much closer vote, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers narrowly edged past Spider-Man , winning by a mere 2 votes!

2003

Wow! The final installment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Return of the King smoked the competition, getting almost half of the votes, with X2: X-Men United and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl finishing in an extremely distant second and third.

2004

Spider-Man 2 won for 2004, finishing above fellow superhero flick The Incredibles .

2005

Christopher Nolan's telling of Batman's origins, Batman Begins dominated 2005, with over 50% of the vote.

2006

In an extremely close poll, The Departed slipped past Casino Royale ...by one vote!

2007

In the biggest surprise of the polls, Zach Snyder's 300 won for 2007, edgeing past Transformers .

2008

A real shocker for 2008, The Dark Knight won with 61% of the votes, with Iron Man finishing well behind.

2009

District 9 edged out Watchmen by one vote, but I'm moving Watchmen to the final round because 1) I need a 12th movie and 2) it's almost won and is a CBM, so...

2010

Nolan wins again! Inception finished victorious, way ahead of Toy Story 3 .

We now move to the final round. Below you'll find the 12 remaining films. Cast your vote for the best film of the 2000s!

Yeah your probably right, but you have to admit that its
kind of funny none comic movies like Wall*e and Gran
Torino getting more votes on a comic site.

Not bashing the movie just find it funny(I voted Dark
Knight that year too).

yeah it is strange, though Gran Torino was in the top 3 of that year IMO.

I wonder if all votes for TDK should only count as half a vote. it gets 32, it actually counts as 16....hm. and it's my favorite movie, so I'm obviously conflicted.

surely 2010's movies should be grouped as "best movies of the 2010s" not "the 2000s", not that Inception will win, but if it does, I will mentally disqualify it.

I just saw Memento yesterday and I gotta say it was really good. Proves that Chris Nolan isn't just good at Batman. He will have a great career after Batman.

Er, where have Watchmen and TDK gone from the list? They were 50 votes and 49 respectively last I looked.
