Well my first article died a very quick death, but it was a bit away the mainstream. (Yet away from the mainstream is where I live) So here goes another HAIRBRAINED idea from ROMACKS REALM OF MADNESS!
The Elektra movie BLEW... we all know that. What I want is FRANK MILLERS-ELEKTRA ASSASSIN. You know the crazy roller coaster ride done in the singular style of BILL SIENKIEWICZ. Who directs it is as important as who the key actors are. Now I know I will probably make some choices that people will hate but....I want a very different style of movie from the first failure. I would like to see the movies Executive Producer to be none other than FRANK MILLER. Directing duties is a tough one but because this is a QUIRKY and very stylized book you need a quirky and stylized director and against my better judgement I am going to pick TIM BURTON. My second choice would be JAMES McTEIGUE, who has had his hand in all kinds of FANBOY goodness.(If he were still alive I would have picked Stanley Kubrick first.)
I am betting a lot of people will wonder "What the HELL is this guy thinking?!" but I wanted some of the UNUSUAL SUSPECTS in this cast. I try to think of actors who can step out of their norm' and be more than what they are normally TYPECAST for. Michael Keaton did it in "Batman". Heath Ledger did it in "The Dark Knight". I believe some of the actors I have chosen may just surprize you in their abilities to be more than what they seem.
So(For better or worse...)here is what may really get people riled and that is my Fan Cast of the ELEKTRA ASSASSIN movie we FANBOYS & FANGIRLS DESERVE.
Now these are just the core characters(upon which the movie will hinge itself). I didn't cast secondary characters such as Beaker, The President or Stick. So I will leave it to your imagination.....
