I've spent a lot of time lately reading fancasts on this site, and decided to try one of my own.
Now I've been a big fan of Kaine as Scarlet Spider, after searching the site I could not find any other fancasts for Scarlet Spider, so I thought I'd try my hand.
Ideally this would be a trilogy of films based on issues one to twenty-four of the current run. So without further ado, here goes nothing, first attempt at a fancast.
Kaine Parker; Scarlet Spider is Liam Hemsworth
Kaine was a clone of Peter Parker, created by Jackal, but he was a flawed clone, both his body and his mental health quickly deteriorated. He was an thorn in the side of Peter Parker for years, before Spider-Man threw him into a tank filled with "the cure". The cure saved Kaine from the monster within and stabilised the condition of Kaine's deterioration. After the death of Ben Reilly, Kaine took up the mantle of Scarlet Spider, albeit reluctantly. He now serves as the superhero of Houston, Texas, trying to redeem himself for his past.
Kaine's height; 6 feet 4 inches.
Liam Hemsworth is the younger brother of Chris "Thor" Hemsworth. After starting his acting career in Australian soap operas, Liam has more recently had roles in The Hunger Games series, and The Expendables too. Much like his older brother, I think Hemsworth has the humour and darkness to pull off Kaine's character, and the monster within Kaine. He's also young enough to fit in with the rest of my cast, and to last out the full trilogy that I would like to see. Hemsworth is more or less the same height as Kaine.

Aracely Penalba; Hummingbird is Selena Gomez
Aracely is a young Mexican girl who was rescued by Kaine from human traffickers. After she had been saved by Kaine, he felt a duty to protect her, and she was a large factor in him remaining in Houston. Aracely has some psychic abilities, and can detect other people's feelings and thoughts. When Kaine is sent to kill Wolverine (in the comics) by the Assassin's Guild Aracely accompanies him, and adopts the personality of Hummingbird.

Selena Gomez is an American actress who has predominantly acted in television programmes and movies aimed at children, but I think in the right role she could excel. Even with Aracely's height not listed on the Marvel wiki page, it is apparent in the comic that she is a lot smaller than Kaine, and I think Selena Gomez fits in that regard, when compared to Liam Hemsworth.

Gomez' age; 21 (though she would be playing younger in this.
Annabelle Adams is Madison Riley
Annabelle is the resident bartender at the Four Seasons hotel in Houston, the very hotel that Kaine makes his base of operations. She is also the singer in a band, and Kaine's love interest.

Madison Riley is an American actress. Predominantly for this role I was looking for someone the same sort of age as Hemsworth, While Annabelle's height is unlisted, she doesn't seem to stand much shorter than the 6ft 4 Kaine in the comics, so I wanted someone who could reflect that here. Madison has most recently been seen in Two and a Half Men, and is also known from being Rob Schneider's daughter in the film Grown Ups.

Officer Wally Layton is Tobias Menzies
Wally Layton is a police officer based in Houston, Texas. He is married to Doctor Donald Meland, and a supporter, and ally of the Scarlet Spider.

Tobias Menzies is perhaps best known for his role as Edmure Tully on Game of Thrones. But he is a well versed actor having performed on television, film, and in theatre. He also played Villiers, M's assistant in Casino Royale, it is this role that made me think of him for the role of Officer Layton. Menzies has an air of authority about him, that would be perfect for the role of Layton.

Dr. Donald Meland is Eric Millegan
Donald Meland is a doctor based out of the Park Plaza Hospital in Houston. He treat Aracely after she was brought into the hospital by Kaine. He is a supporter and ally of the Scarlet Spider, as well as Officer Wally Layton's husband.

Eric Millegan is an actor I was unfamiliar with prior to this cast, but, he has experience in playing a doctor from the tv series Bones, where he played Dr.Zack Addy, he's also had some limited film experience, and I feel he could fit into the cast well as a minor background character. Millegan's look and height, I feel, could compliment Menzies well in their on screen partnership.

Candra; Red Death is Jaime King
Candra's origin is unknown, as she is an immortal. Candra had apparently died fighting the X-Men. She later returned thanks to tributes from the Assassin's Guild, stating that it was only her body that died, not her psyche. In the comics Candra, the Red Death tried to take the essence of Scarlet Spider and Wolverine, however in the movie, I'd be more likely to include Spider-Man in the Wolverine role, assuming this film was made by the same production as The Amazing Spider-Man, to avoid the legal issues.
Candra's height; 5 feet 9 inches.
Jaime King is an actress with experience of comic books, having appeared in Sin City, and the forthcoming Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. King was really my only choice for Candra, I think after seeing her in Sin City I'd really like to see her try her hand at the pure evil Candra. She has the look, and experience to pull this role off, and carry a film as the main villain in my eyes.

Bella Donna Boudreaux; Belladonna is Lily Cole
Bella Donna Boudreaux is Remy LeBeau (Gambit of X-Men fame)'s ex-wife. She was born into the Assassin's Guild and went on to be it's leader. When Kaine showed up in Houston, she sent the Assassin's Guild to kill him as a tribute to Candra. After her assassins were defeated by Kaine, she agreed with Kaine that the Guild would leave him be, as long as he killed one man for them; Wolverine. She was defeated by Kaine and swore her revenge on him.
Belladonna's height; 6 feet
Lily Cole is an English model and actor. I first became aware of her in 2009's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, where she starred alongside Andrew Garfield, Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell.
While the film was met with mixed reviews, I enjoyed it, and the performances of all concerned. Cole has more recently (2011), featured in Doctor Who. While I am a fan of her acting ability it was actually her look that won me over, as I think she has the look of Belladonna. Just dye her hair or have her wear a blonde wig, she's done blonde before though I'm not sure if it was wig or dye. She is a little shorter than Belladonna, but she's still taller than Jaime King playing Candra, so I don't foresee it as a problem.

Sergei Kravinoff; Kraven The Hunter is Matt Schulze
Kraven The Hunter is predominantly known as a foe of Spider-Man but he is intertwined with the story of Kaine's Scarlet Spider. Kraven seeks Kaine as he wants Kaine to break the curse that would not allow him to die. Kraven kidnapped all of Kaine's allies to draw him out, with the help of his daughter Anastasia Kravinoff. Kaine paralized Kraven's heart, after Anastasia seriously wounded Doctor Meland. Kaine then revived Kraven, and the debt and curse was supposedly broken.

Schulze is best known for his roles in The Fast and The Furious and Blade. I was recently rewatching The Fast and the Furious films and I thought that Schulze would make a pretty decent Sabretooth. Then when I decided to base this cast of Scarlet Spider I found myself wondering if there was a role for him. I know I may take some flack for casting an American as a Russian, but if you look at the picture I've posted, you'll see a startling resemblance between Schulze and Kraven. He's also old enought to look like he could be the father of my Ana Kraven.

Anastasia Kravinoff; Ana Kraven is Saoirse Ronan
Anastasia is Kraven's daughter, and is the one responsible for "breaking the only peace he had ever known". She is partly responsible for luring Kaine to fight Kraven, as she had a role in kidnapping his friends (Aracely, Annabelle, Layton and Meland). She has superhuman strength and speed but is often let down by her own arrogance, which causes her to fail.
Ana's height; 5 feet 4 inches
Saoirse Ronana is an Irish actress, most well known for her roles in Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Lovely Bones, Atonement and Hanna. She is one of the youngest actresses to ever receive a nomination for Academy, BAFTA and Golden Globe awards. It was her role in Hanna that put her in my mind for the role of Ana Kraven. As with Schulze, I was somewhat weary of casting a non-Russian, and also considered Izabella Miko who, while not Russian, is actually Polish and is the same height as Ana Kraven. However I moved away from the idea of Miko when I realised she's 32, only nine years younger than my Kraven.

Salamander is Jason Momoa
Salamander is a villain that I'm not overly familliar with, he makes a brief, but impactful, appearance in the comic, and I felt including him in at least one of these trilogy films would be a good idea. Salamander came after Aracely after she had been saved by Kaine. He was subsequently defeated by Kaine, and left to be dealt with by the authorities.

Jason Momoa is probably most well known for his tenure as Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones. I had originally considered Danny Trejo in this role, however after finding he only stands at 5 feet 7 inches, I had to reconsider (even though Salamander's height is not listed, he stands taller than Scarlet Spider in the comic, and I needed my casting choice to reflect that). My next option was Game of Thrones Jason Momoa, and while it's definitely typecasting, I think it works. Momoa could own this role, and really bring a lot of menace to the role of Salamander.

Smithy is Gary Dourdan
Smithy is one of the assassins sent by Belladonna to kill Scarlet Spider. He has the power of teleportation, and is more than handy with a gun. He is later killed when Candra arrives as the Red Death.

Gary Dourdan is an actor that honestly, I was not familiar with at all, but I found a picture of him on the net with dreadlocks, and he looks just like the character of Smithy. Since it's only a small role I didn't have reservations about using Dourdan for the role. Again, there's not height listed for Smithy on Marvel's wiki page, but he looks rather tall next to Scarlet Spider, and Dourdan reflects that. He is most well known for his work on CSI, and voiced Crispus Allen in three of the six shorts on Gotham Knight.

Harvester is Cam Gigandet
Harvester is one of the assassins sent by Belladonna to kill Scarlet Spider. His power is superhuman speed, and he wields katana blades. He is later killed when Candra arrives as the Red Death.

Cam Gigandet is best known for his appearances on The OC, Twilight and Never Back Down. He can play a badass really well, and has a black belt in Krav Maga, which will lend itself well to his fight scenes within the movie.

Flower is Isabelle Fuhrman
Flower is another one of the assassins sent by Belladonna to kill Scarlet Spider, and to quote Kaine himself; "She's a kid and she's as strong as me". She takes great enjoyment in killing when her targets flee in fear of her, and becomes enraged when Kaine will not run.

Isabelle Fuhrman is a young actress most well know for her title role as Esther in Orphan, where she was able to show her sinister side. She has also appeared in The Hunger Games, and After Earth (though her role was not in the final film in After Earth). Again, this is something of an underdeveloped role, due to the little character information available, but I feel like Isabelle Fuhrman could really make this role her own. I had at first considered Maisie Williams of Game of Thrones, but ultimately felt that I didn't want to cast three people from Game of Thrones.

Peter Parker; Spider-Man is Andrew Garfield
No description needed here, Garfield is Spider-Man in the current series of films, and I'd like to think that a Scarlet Spider film would be linked to that existing and ongoing series. Garfield would likely have a cameo in the first film, and then appear in a larger capacity in the third film.
