I was thinking since they rebooted TREK on screen with the original STAR TREK series why not reboot it on the small screen as well with the NEXT GENERATION crew. This way you could have way to hold fans interest while there are no STARK TREK movies being filmed or in theaters. This would also help them to show a bigger history in the TREK universe and relate the show to the big screen as well. This new Next Generation reboot series would appear on either a channel like HBO, FX or AMC where it could grow upon the character dynamics throughout the series as well as not being hindered by production budgets. The special effects would be able to be top of the line.

CAPTAIN PICARD:RALPH FIENNES
Ralph is an experienced and dramatic actor bringing everything he has to his roles. Picard needs to have someone who can own the screen and draw you in much like Patrick Stewart with the character. Ralph could channel what Stewart did while bringing his own take on the character as well. plus it would be cool to hear him say "ENGAGE!"

COMMANDER RIKER:NATHAN FILLION
Nathan was the first actor who popped into my head when trying to think of someone to fill the shoes of Jonathan Frankes. Nathan is familiar with Sci-fi series having appeared in Fire Fly, his character in that show was a lot like Riker and could be easily transitioned into the Next Generation.

LT.COMMANDER DATA:MICHAEL ROSENBAUM
Now some people cast him has Picard HOWEVER! I think he is more suited towards the role of Data he has the look of a young Brent Spiner and that android look as well with his expressions and movement. I think he would be a fantastic Mr. Data.

LT. GEORDI LA FORGE:EDI GATHEGI
Edi is an upcoming young black actor and would be a good fit for Geordi the blind helmsmen turned chief engineer later in the series. He would also work well with Rosenbaums Commander Data as they are best friends on the show.

LT.WORF:DENNIS HAYSBERT
This casting choice is a no-brainer Dennis I feel is an actor that should be used more in films and T.V. because he has the right acting skills for the job he would own the role if given the chance to play him, plus he has the depth in his voice for the role.

COUNSELOR TROI:OLIVIA WILDE
Olivia is one of my favorite actresses in hollywood right now she has a bright future in store for her. I think she would be a great ships counselor to the crew and love interest for Nathan Fillion.

DOCTOR CRUSHER:FAMKE JANSSEN
This was a hard one to cast but I chose Famke because she has appeared on t.v. show before but also has had experience in the doctor role with her work in the x-men trilogy. She would just have to dye her hair red.

WESLEY CRUSHER:COLE SPROUSE
Cole came to my mind right away for this part his personality and charm fit right in with the character and he has played the eager younger explorer before on his disney channel show Suite life on deck.

Why not reboot the original series? It would work much better than TNG cause it's horrible.
