SYPNOSIS
Born as Kal-El on the planet Krypton, Clark Kent grows up in the rural town of Smallville, Kansas as no ordinary boy developing incredibly, strange powers which he and his adopted family hide from society but outside of Smallville lies a world incrisis and in need of a hero. Clark realises that his place in the world isn't ploughing a field and realises his destiny as Earth's savior. Moving to Metropolis as a reporter at the Daily Planet, he can know all of the news and act quickly as Superman. He quickly makes enemies in the form of business mogul Lex Luthor and Bruno Manheim, boss of criminal organization Intergang exploiting the connection between the two with help from reporter Lois Lane who takes a keen interest in the mystery hero. With the world coming to a balance with an intergalactic hero in it, the world is again shook when the alien known as Brainiac who has ties to Earth's new hero arrives to consume the Earth and its knowledge before destroying it.

Henry Cavill as Kal-El / Clark Kent / Superman: Simple farm boy from Smallville, Kansas. Clark Kent is really the Kryptonian "Kal-El" who arrived to Earth as a small boy sent from his dying planet. Growing up to develop super powers, he left Smallville when he found his calling as Earth's hero, Superman. Works at the Daily Planet in Metropolis.
Amy Adams as Lois Lane: Reporter for the Daily Planet. The daughter of 3 star General Samuel Lane, she isn't the most recognised reporter until the appearance of Superman in which she becomes his sort of personal press officer.
Viggo Mortensen as Brainiac: An alien super computer built on the planet Colu, its programming to store all knowledge led to the computer creating an uprising on Colu before building itself an android body and large ship destroying Colu and taking its knowledge with it. It then proceeded to consume numerous other worlds including Krypton, Superman's home planet.
Michael Shannon as Lex Luthor: Business mogul who founded and owns LexCorp. Originally a low life criminal from the Suicide Slum area, he founded LexCorp and used his childhood friend Bruno Manheim to help him make his business a success by putting his opposition out of business. He funds Intergang's activities in return for help destroying other businesses.
Diane Kruger as Mercy Graves: The personal assistant and lover of Lex Luthor. Originally a simple personal assistant, she protected Lex from an attacking revealing her superior fighting skills so he hired her as his assistant, bodyguard and cheauffer. She is devoted to Lex and will do anything for him.
Paul Dano as James Olsen: Small time photographer for the Daily Planet, this all changed when Superman arrived in the news and Olsen was the first person to get a good photograph of him, making him one of the papers best photographers from now.
Jeff Bridges as Perry White: The Editor in Chief of the Daily Planet, he has run the paper for the last 10 years making it a success but with modern times the paper is losing its appeal. This all changes when Superman arrives in the news and begins giving exclusives to the Daily Planet and its reporters.
Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent: Kansas farmer from Smallville, he and his wife found a small alien craft crash land in their back field on their farm. Raising the alien as Clark Kent, he tought him tough high morals having a strong influence on Clark becoming Superman.
Diane Lane as Martha Kent: The wife of a Kansas farmer from Smallville, she and her husband found a small alien craft crash land in their back field on their farm. Raising the alien as Clark Kent, she tought him to love having a strong influence on Clark becoming Superman.
Ed Harris as Samuel Lane The stern 3 star General father of Lois Lane. A top army General, he is sent to Metropolis to watch the alien Sueprman and then lead military action agaisnt the alien Brainiac who arrives to Earth.
Edgar Ramirez as Bruno Manheim: The leader of criminal organization Intergang and childhood friend of Lex Luthor, he is provided weapons and vehicles for his organization in return for helping Lex destroy his business rivals.
Joe Manganiello as John Corben: The right hand man of Gen. Sam Lane and the only soldier he respects.
Maura Tierney as Maggie Sawyer: One of Metropolis' top police officers, she has been trying to prosecute Lex Luthor and Bruno Manheim for years. She is paired with Dan Turpin.
Joe Pantoliano as Dan Turpin: One of Metropolis' top police officers, he along with his partner Maggie Sawyer have been trying to prosecute Lex Luthor and Bruno Manheim for years.
Joe Pantoliano as William Henderson: Police Commisioner of Metropolis.
Elisha Cuthbert as Cat Grant: Daily Planet's chief showbiz and entertainment reporter and arch rival of Lois Lane.
Kyle Chandler as Steve Lombard: Former Football star turned Daily Planet sport reporter.
Phil LaMarr as Ron Troupe: One of the Daily Planet's top reporters and who focuses on the politcal sector.

Firstly this is not news, you have no sources, and you a lot of the cast choices not even confirmed yet and some may not even be in this movie all together.
