The BAT-VERSE: The Villains Part 2

I hope you enjoyed the first part of my Bat-Villains Fancast. Here is the second part in which I cast some of the more obscure foes of Batman. While I know that the odds of seeing some of these characters on the silver screen is quite slim, my cast just wouldn't feel complete without all of Batman's many enemies being represented. Once again I tried to stay away from the same tired casting suggestions and be a bit more original.

Batman- Ben Affleck

I know there are many who are still skeptical of Affleck's ability to do justice to the Caped Crusader, but I for one have no doubt that he will bring his A-game to this series.

Mad Hatter- Noah Taylor

Known for his appearances in many Tim Burton movies, including "Alice in Wonderland" appropriately enough, Taylor has proved his ability to showcase a real sinister side, even playing Hitler in "Max".

Black Mask- Wentworth Miller

As the lead role on series "Prison Break", Miller has demonstrated he has the intensity required for Gotham's most fearsome and sadistic crimelord.

Deadshot- Sullivan Stapleton

Stapleton's character on "Strikeback" has a similar roguish charm and love for firearms to make him the perfect pick for the DCU's greatest sniper and assassin.

Hugo Strange- Christoph Waltz

One of Batman's oldest foes, Strange is one of the few people that can really mess with the Dark Knight's head. After blowing everyone away with his performance in "Inglorious Basterds", there is nobody I'd rather see play Strange's mindgames than Chrisoph Waltz.

Hush- Wes Bentley

A gifted and underrated actor, many of Bentley's characters have a brooding menace to them that makes him well suited to play a former friend with a vendetta against Bruce Wayne.

Lady Shiva- Maggie Q

Lady Shiva is one of the world's greatest martial artist and a deadly assassin. As demonstrated on the show "Nikita", Maggie Q can pull off convincing action scenes with no problem.

Solomon Grundy- Robert Maillet

Maillet has become Hollywood's go to guy for giant hulking monsters. I don't think anyone has a doubt that he would do wonders as the undead brute that is Grundy.

Manbat- Joe Anderson

It was his role as an tormented junkie in the musical "Across the Universe" that really convinced me that Anderson has it in him to convey the torment of a man unwittingly transformed into a mindless bat-creature.

Catman- Liam McIntyre

Despite being a laughing stock for many years, Catman has resurfaced in the pages of "Secret Six" as a genuine badass. On "Spartacus", McIntyre has proven that he has the appropriate ferocity and nobility needed for this role.

The Ventriloquist- David Costabile

As a gifted character appearing in many memorable role on shows and movies such as "Breaking Bad" and "Lincoln", Costabile would be deftly able to portray the inherit spinlessness of the multi-personalitied Ventriloquist.

Calendar Man- Rory Cochran

A very obscure villain that gained new life as a Hannibal Lechter-like inmate, Calendar Man would be served well by Cochran, who has made a name for himself playing odd and offbeat characters in movies such as "A Scanner Darkly".

Joe Chill- Michael Wincott

No other villain has done more to affect the life of Bruce Wayne. Chill is an integral part of the Batman mythos. Wincott's gravelly voice has been showcased in other criminal roles such as "The Crow" before.

Carmine Falcone- Armand Assante

A veteran actor, Assante more than has the goods to portray the Godfather of the Gotham mob. He's even played the head of the mafia in movies like "American Gangster".

Mario Falcone- Oscar Isaac

A real rising star, Isaacs never fails to impress in any role that he's in, including "Drive" and "Sucker Punch". He'd be simply great as Falcone's son.

Alberto Faclone- Lucas Haas

Much like Haas's character in "Brick", Alberto's frail appearance hides his more dangerous and wicked side. With a resume stretching back to his childhood, Haas has both the looks and talent for the role.

Sophia Falcone- Melanie Lynskey

Despite being known more recently for her comedic roles, one need only look back to her early role in "Heavenly Creatures" to see that she would do wonders as the wildcard daughter of the Falcone crime family.

Sal Maroni- Anthony LaPaglia

LaPaglia has been played Mob bosses before dating all the way back to one of his earliest movies as "Frank Nitti". He would be a natural as the criminal that causes Harvey Dent's downfall.
