We all Ben will be wearing the cowl in the Batman v. Superman movie, but when
its solo movie time I think its time for a little wishful thinking and here are my picks on who should be the supporting characters and some of the villain's in the new arc of batman.
First up we have to have an Alfred. Now this one is a bit of type casting but I think Alfred's origins should be a older British man. And with that I would go with Bill Nighy. He has the acting chops and he can pull off the comedy when needed. Also if they decided that Alfred should see some type of action he is capable.
Next up is Jim Gordon. My pick is Ethan Hawke. I think he has wide range acting ability and would be a capable of holding his own against Batman.
Harvey Dent/Two-Face
My next pick is Leo. I think he is the perfect for the role. He has the Lawyer look and then when it's time he could turn on the crazy switch and become Two-Face. I believe he would take Two-Face to another type of crazy.
Alright here comes the Villians :
First up Victor Zsasz
I personally like the character in the books. I would like to see Zsasz take over the role of Scarecrow. Have him just agitate batman through at the series. I am going with Giancarlo Esposito. I think he would make perfect secondary villain that uses his money to avoid going to jail until Batman finds a way to get him permanently locked up.
Catwoman- I recently re-watched the rum diaries and noticed that Amber Heard really did a good job with her role. Also I have to admit I don't know much about her career but something in the rum diary about the way she carried herself reminded me of a young Michelle Phiffer (sp). I think she would be a good love interest as well.
The Penguin
My pick for the Penguin is Jonah Hill. I know this is probably a WTF pick. But I really think the guy is coming into his own and could make the character very real and dark. Not so much as Danny DeVito did with the make up, I think he could play the ruthless character we got in Batman Arkham game series. He could either be a main villain or a supporting villain.
If the penguin is the main villain then he needs a bad ass henchmen and I went with Deadshot. I think it would be cool to make him kind of military nut who is maybe like some type of world champion sniper and has quick hands in case he misses. Also since The penguin is not much of a fighter he could be the guy to pound on the batman to give the penguin a chance of hurting batman. I am going with Emile Hirsh. He did a really great job in Lone Survivor.
Now time for Ra's al Ghul and Family :
Now I know what you are going to say to this, but think back Tom Cruise has actually done some good acting roles. I just watched Jack Reacher and the story was horrible but Tom Cruise did good acting work. Also going back to Jerry Maguire the guy can act. He has a certain something. Also I think its time for him to not be the good guy. Everyone said no to Heath and then we all ate our words.
For Talia I went with Noomi Rapace. She has certain type of beauty and if anyone saw the foreign GWTDT you know she can go to the dark side no problem.
For Thomas Elliot/Hush
I went with Matthew "Alright Alright "McConaughey for this role. I think he has seriously raised his acting game and could nail the role. Also I think he has the look of a Bruce Wayne type and if the character is written well he could do a lot of damage.
And now the Clown Prince of Crime :
Ever since I watched The Shield for some reason Walter Goggins has always reminded me of the Joker. He plays a loveable scumbag so well. I think if he was given the Joker graphic novel for source material he would nail it. The guy has a lot of potential and if you watched the shield he has a whole lot of crazy in him.
And here is my Bonus pick. If we are going to get a Robin lets go with a female. My pick would be Anna Sophia. She has had steady work and delivered in her roles. Give her a bad ass back story and it could work. Also dye her hair redish orange.
Again these are just my picks. I am sure that you all will read these and ream my ass like a passed out Gusto at a truck stop. So go for it. Thanks for reading.
