I have been a Captain America fan since the mid 70's (stop laughing; I'm old). I used to go to the Benjamin Franklin store every 7th day of the month and buy one Captain America Comic Book for .30 or .35 cents and one Amazing Spiderman Comic Book. Cap was my favorite. I never stopped buying them, but I had to order them once I was in the Marines. I remember when I first read the Winter Soldier story line and the shock and dismay I had when I found out it was Bucky. In my imagination, I could see the pain and turmoil Steve Rogers was going through when he looked into those eyes realizing it was his young sidekick. Now, in this day and age, it isn’t really his sidekick, but his best friend growing up. So with everyone so focused on who is under the sheet and who really Alexander Pierce is, the ONE big thing (ok two), that I am really looking forward to is how Chris Evans shows this “surprise”, “turmoil” and “pain” in his reaction when he FIRST discovers the true identity of The Winter Soldier. I am praying that Mr. Evans nails this in his acting. I mean, this has to be a true selling point of this story. Just like it was said; Cap is almost ready to put his past behind him when. . . BANG, his past is NOW his present. Mr. Evans needs to sell this like he is going for an Oscar (big thinking). The other big thing I am looking forward to is how is Mr. Sebastian Stan going to sell his reaction when he realizes who he really is (if that happens in this movie). If so, is he going to sell this part and realize all the pain and agony he has caused and how much hatred he will have for Hydra once he realized how many innocent people he has killed as The Winter Soldier. One more thought on my first editorial; how awesome will it be if they use the “Shoot Me” story line when Cap throws his shield and tells The Winter Soldier; “Shoot me, if you truly don’t know me…, ….then just do it.”
