ISSUE #2
Vietnam, 1973
A group of American troops are engaged in a gun fight with the Viet Cong. They are outnumbered and going down fast. A helicopter flies overhead and a Logan jumps out. He has no parachute, and tackles a VC as he lands, killing the man. The rest hit him with bullets, but he fires back with an M16. When his magazine empties, he uses the KABAR knife, as well as a few Krav Maga and Jui Jitsu maneuvers to finish of the remaining enemies. He reloads and leads the men into a village, shooting anyone in sight.

Small Alaskan Village, 1991
Logan, in his tattered military pants and stolen jacket, watches a family through a window. He follows the wife from the outside as she moves around the house, and watches her fold clothes in the basement. When she leaves to attend to the children, he picks the lock with a claw, steals a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt, and takes off. He continues along the road way until he spots a government-looking vehicle approach. He hides on a porch until it passes. After a few moments, something cold and metal taps the side of his head.
“You got five seconds to get your ass off my property before I take your head off.”
Logan turns to see a man pressing the end of a double-barrel to his temple.
“Same to you, bub.”
“You kn--”
A backfist knocks the man out cold. However, the government SUV made a U-Turn and saw the incident. Logan takes off running down the road, but they catch up and open fire. Logan lunges, and sticks his claws into the side of the vehicle. The gunman in the passenger side backseat gets a stabbed in the neck and pulled out through the window. The driver swerves, trying to hit Logan off of a tree. Logan squeezes his body through the window just in time, and stabs the other man in the backseat. He sticks his claws through the passenger headrest, killing him. He then leans forward and jerks the steering wheel, causing the SUV to go down a hillside, flip over, and crash. The driver, though badly wounded, is still alive. He tries to crawl through the busted windshield, only for a boot to step on the back oh his neck.
“WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?!!” Logan screams, pressing his claws against the man’s throat.
“take you…back. Don’t… you remember…me, Logan? We..work…together.”
“I’m…I’m in the army?” Logan is puzzled, trying hard to remember who this man is.
“CIA…Special Operations.”
Logan is confused, but he hears a familiar voice.
“Logan. Come in.”
Stryker is coming through the radio on the man’s jacket.

Board Room, 1991
Stryker is surrounded by the Senior Officials.
“William,” the woman says, “you have to get him back here.”
“Logan…”
“Yeah?” Logan asks over the radio.
“Do you really not remember anything?”
“Not at all. Who the hell are you people and why are you after me?”
“Stryker,” a younger man with a computer jumps in, “keep him on a few moments longer and I can trace the signal.”
“Logan, listen to me. You work for me. However…” Stryker looks at the board members, before continuing, “the people I work for are trying to kill you after they failed in Kuwait. That’s the reason for you’re amnesia. This base is 30 klicks from your loca-“

Alaskan Village, 1991
Logan hears two gunshots over the radio. He turns to the wounded driver.
“Take me there, NOW!”
Army Camp, Vietnam, 1973
“You wanted to see me?”
Logan walks in wearing his usually white undershirt and military pants and boots. Stryker is sitting in at a table, drinking a coffee and shuffling through some papers.
“Yes, Logan, come in.”
Logan walks over, grabs a cup, and sits down.
“Okay,” Logan says, “who is it this time? More PoW’s or a terrorist unit?”
“Unfortunately, it’s one of ours.”
He hands Logan a paper.
“Frank Simpson, codename: Nuke.”
“Codenames? What do they call me?”
“Moving on,” Stryker continues, “He was supposed to be the newest generation of Super-Soldier. The experimental drugs which enhanced him, however, destroyed his mind. He was last seen in a Cambodia, and has killed all the men sent in to get him. Naturally, Superiors asked for you.”
“They want me to… arrest him?”
“No, friend. They want you to do what you do best.”

Military Base, Alaska, 1991
Logan drives the heavily damaged SUV through a blizzard, his half alive passenger giving directions. They arrive at the base and seven armed men surround the vehicle. Logan shoots three with a handgun, but gets shot and drops it. Gunman Four loses his hand and rifle, and is then used as a human shield. He is pushed into Gunman Five, and both are stabbed. Gunman Six fires, but his weapon jams. He gets a stomach kick and stabbed through the head. Gunman Seven has shot the driver that was helping Logan. Logan slides across the hood of the SUV and kicks his rifle away. Gunman Seven pulls a knife, but it doesn’t help. He ends up with three blades in the chest. Logan does a quick survey of the area before breaking into the base. He makes it to the first corridor when a voice says:
“Welcome back, runt.”

Just a short description of this Wolverine: His hair is toned down like it was in "The Wolverine." His sideburns are what Liev Schreiber's looked like in "Origins" and he stands around 5'9" like the Ultimate version. He is Canadian. I couldn't find a place to fit that into this storyline but it will be addressed. I stole the "serve your country" line from "Origins."
