The DC cinematic universe is shaping up, with the success of Man of steel, and with the WB moving forward with Batman vs Superman, I believe that it is only a matter of time that Wonder Woman will get her own movie.
I will give here my story for the movie.
Because many DC superheroes have many different origin stories, I have decided to take some liberties with the character, and make her work better on the big screen. I will be basing the story more on the Modern Age Wonder woman, as well as the New 52 storyline, but it will be my own story and idea. I will be taking elements from the comics, by I won’t be basing in on a practical story.
First thing first, like in the more modern versions, Wonder Woman in my movie is a demigod, the daughter of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, and Zeus, King of the Gods.
Second thing is: the charter of Steve Trevor is erased from my story. I think that giving Wonder Woman a love interest is a hard thing to do. I mean Superman has Lois, she is his damsel in distress, it makes sense for the story. Wonder Woman is a bad-ass, she don’t need a man to protect her, especially not a regular human. She is like Xena and Lara Croft, these women are very powerful and strong, and no man can really be there to be theirs love interest in a way in would work with the story. So, I have deicide to make in a tragedy love story. Wonder Woman’s lover in this movie is Ares, who is also her worst enemy.
Cast:
As many DC Superheroes. Wonder Woman is a hard character to cast. She has to be strong and bad-ass, but also beautiful and sexy. She needs to be someone that every man would like to see on screen, and every woman would like to be her.
That is not a easy thing to do, so I have decided to offer more then one actress.

The Story:
The movie begins few years back, with Queen Hippolyta leading her Amazons army against an army of monsters. The monsters try to conquer the island of Themyscira (home of the Amazons), because the Amazons are the protectors of the world from the underworld forces.
During the battle, Hippolyta is able to defeat the leader of the monsters and kills him.
After the battle, Hippolyta in her tent, cleaning her sword, there are sounds of lighting, and Zeus appears in the tent. Hippolyta asks if he came to give his gratitude for her saving the world, again. But Zeus is angry, and says that Hippolyta has a full army, she doesn’t have to lead the attack on her own. Zeus says that Olympus needs Hippolyta alive, and be the Queen of Themyscira, and if she falls, then Themyscira will fall too. Hippolyta gets angry, and says she won’t let any man to tell her what to do and how to rule. Zeus gets angry too, and says that he is not just a man, he is her God, and he can snap his fingers and she would be dead. Hippolyta mucks Zeus and says that if he is so powerful, why he doesn’t fight the armies of the underworld. Zeus grabs her and says that she needs to remember her place. Hippolyta smiles and kisses Zeus. The two start kissing, and it’s fade to black, because it’s a PG-13 movie after all.
Few years later, we are on Themyscira Island, and we see the young Princess Diana training of her Amazon sisters. Diana is still a teenager, and Artemis tries to make Diana a better Amazon, but Diana shows a very spoiled approach, saying that she is the Princess, and won’t take orders from her.
Later on there is a scene between Hippolyta and Diana, and it’s a scene that its point is to explain to Diana that with great power comes great responsibly. Also, no one knows that Diana is actually Zeus’s daughter. Hippolyta says that one day Diana will be the greatest Amazon, and she must be ready for the day that the world will be in danger again. Hippolyta says she can feel how to armies of the underworld are moving and planning their attack, she says that soon there will be a great war, and she fears that the world of men will fall. Diana says she can’t let that happen and takes her training more seriously.
Some time passes, and Diana is older. She hunts in the jungle of Themyscira, but then she meets Ares. Diana is shocked to meet a god, especially the god of war. Ares says he has been watching her for a while know. He says that she has potential, but she will never be a truly great warrior without some help. Ares offers Diana his help, and says he will train her by himself. Diana says that she knows the gods don’t just offer help without expecting something in return, and ask what Ares wants from her. Ares says that the world had only few true champions, one of them was Hercules and the other was Achilles. Ares says that it’s time for a woman to be the champion of Olympus, and he wants to be the one that made that champion great. He says that if the underworld army will win against Themyscira the world of man will fall, and that means that then Olympus will fall. The gods need the humans to prey for them, and Ares needs the men to keep fighting among themselves, or he will die.
Then Ares begins training her in secret, and after a while their meetings become more intimate, as Diana falls in love with Ares. The only person that knows about this is Mala, Diana’s best friend.
After few months, Ares offers Diana to join him on a mission, to defeat one of the generals of the underworld.
The two go to the world of men (to our world), and then to confront the Minotaur. Ares tells Diana she must kill the monster by her own, and after a battle, Diana defeats the Minotaur, and then stands over him, pointing her sword to his head. Ares says that she must kill him, but Diana hesitates. Ares counties to rush her, and then puts his arm on her shoulders, and says that this is her destiny, but Diana drops her sword and says she won’t do it. Ares then takes his sword out and kills the Minotaur by himself. For the first time, Diana sees another side from her lover. Ares is angry and looks almost mad. Diana start to walk back with fear, but then Ares turns back to be the man she fell in love with, and he kisses her, saying that she did well, and he is proud with her. He takes her back to the island, promises her that together they are unstoppable. Diana says that the scared her today, but Ares says he will never hurt her, and he loved her. The two have sex.
Later on, as Diana sleeps and Ares goes to the underworld. He is attacked by a giant monster, but he kills it with no problem. Ares then continues to walks until he stands in front a black palace, he enters, and kills few more monsters that try to attack him. Then he enters a throne room, there Hades sits and waits. Ares says that if Hades wanted to kill him, he would need to send more monsters. Hades says that why would he want to kill his favorite nephew, who is the reason that so many souls arrive to his Kingdome. Hades asks why Ares came here. Ares says that it’s time someone would help Hades to destroy the world.
Hades asks why Ares would want to help him, if humanity dies, then there won’t be any worshipers to fight, and a god of war can’t really exist with any wars. Ares then says that there’s not need to kill all humans at once, there are many men on earth, and Hade’s armies could wage war against them for many years. Humanity would become Ares’s toys, fighting everyday against monsters, keeping the energy flowing to Ares, and in the same time, many men would day, and the Kingdome of the dead will get more crowded every day.
Hades then says that the plan will never come through because of the Amazons and the gods. Ares says that he has someone on the inside, and she just killed the Minotaur. Hades says that the Minotaur’s death will cause the other monsters want revenge. Ares says that it is the point, he says that everyone are pawns of the gods, Amazons, humans and monsters. Hades asks what they will do about Zeus and the other gods, and Ares says that it’s time for a new king of Olympus. Hades ask is Ares going to be the new king, but Ares says he doesn’t want to be a king, Hades can have the throne, Ares wants only to see the world burn.
On Themyscira, Diana and Mala talk about what happened with the Minotaur. Mala says she has bad feeling about that, and thinks Diana must tell everything to Hippolyta. Ares appears, and asks Diana to come with him, saying that it’s time for the next mission. Mala confronts Ares, and says that Diana is not his solider, and the Amazons are not allowed to live the island. Ares tell Mala to stay out of this, and commends Diana to come with him. Diana is torn between the two, but then she tells Ares she can’t go with him.
Ares gets angry and grabs Diana, but Mala takes out her sword and attacks Ares. Ares throws Diana aside, and start toying with Mala.
Mala goes to stab Ares, but he counters all her attacks, and start laughing, saying that no mortal can stand against the god of war. Diana asks Ares to stop, but he counties toying with Mala. Diana grabs he sword and goes to protect her friend, and stands between them two. Ares looks at Diana and asks “After all I have done for you? You betray me? ME?”. Ares slaps Diana with super force, sending her flying. Mala attack Ares, but he stabs her in the stomach. Mala collapses, and Ares stands over her, he is about to finish the job, but then spear almost hits him, he looks around and sees the other Amazons run to attack him. Ares looks at Diana and says: “How does it feel like to start the final war of mankind?”, and then he disappears.
Diana grabs Mala, as she gasps. Mala dies in Diana’s hands. The other Amazons arrive, Artemis looks at Diana with a blaming look.
On the next scene, Hippolyta goes off on Diana, blaming her for all of this. Hippolyta says that the armies of the underworld are assembling, and this is going to be the biggest army ever assembled. Hippolyta that the monsters want revenge for the Minotaur, and that they know it was Diana who killed him. Diana says it wasn’t her, but Hippolyta is too angry. She then says that she could never think that her own daughter would begin the final war. Hippolyta then banishes Diana, saying she is no longer an Amazon. Hippolyta teleports Diana to the men’s world, living her in some alley.
Diana later on is attacked by a group of criminals who want to rape her, but she beats them all down, and almost kills one of them. However there is a flash of light behind Diana, and she believes it’s Ares, but turns out it’s Athena, goddess of wisdom.
Athena says that she always knew that Ares will try to create a never ending war, but she never thought he will be so cruel to use love as a tool to create this war. Athena says she was hurt like Diana in the past, and she was also lost. Athena tells Diana that her Father is Zeus, and that Zeus blessed her with the powers of the gods, and that she was destined to be the champion of the gods.
Diana says how she can be a champion, when she was banished by her own mother. Athena says that all the great champions had to prove themselves, to the world and to their own love ones. Athena says that Diana was trained by Ares himself, and that his nature wouldn’t allow him not to teach Diana everything he knows.
Athena then takes Diana to a secret place, there she explains Diana how her powers really work. Berceuse Diana is the daughter of Zeus, she has inherited some of his powers, and Zeus has blessed her with the powers of the other gods. She then gives Diana weapons.
Bracelets that can stop any weapon formed of Athena's legendary shield.
The Lasso of Truth, forged by Hephaestus.
The sword of Zeus, an indestructible sword, given to the champion of Olympus.
Then Athena gives Diana her armor, that looks like the armor she wears In the New 52.
Athena says that the first wave has begun, and that the humans are being attacked, and Diana must save them. Diana suits up and goes to save the day. She goes out of the temple, and then looks back at Athena and asks how she leaves this place. Athena says that Zeus is the god of the sky too, so she would be able to use fly. Then Diana takes flight, and flies in super speed. This will be a cool scene in the movie.
The police and few soldiers try to fight the monsters, but you can’t fight monsters with guns. One of the soldiers tells another: “We could use Superman man right now”.
The monsters start destroying vehicles and some Harpies grab humans. One of the monsters goes to attack a girl, but then Wonder Woman crashes into the monster, sending it flying, they both crash trough a building. And the battle begins.
Diana fights the monsters in the street, using her weapons ad powers. This is a long and cool battle, showcasing how powerful Wonder Woman really is. During the battle, her eyes glow like her father's. There few Harpies and a Chimera among the monsters, and few skeletons.
Diana defats the monsters, and the monsters retreat. But then comes a 15 feet Cyclops, and Diana fights him too, and then we see that Diana’s body heals over time. She then stabs the Cyclops in the eye, and it’s all over.
The humans are shocked by what’s just happened, one dude captures it all on his phone. A soldier goes to Diana, and asks her: “who are you?”. She turns around and tells him that they need to be ready, this is only the beginning, and more will come, she then takes fly again. Other solder stand by the first one and says: “So she is like Superman?”. The first soldier says: “more like a Superwoman”. The other says: “or Wonder Woman, that outfit defiantly wonderful”.
We cut to the underworld, where Ares and Hades watch what Diana did.
Hades: “You trained her well, dear nephew. Remind me again how does training an Amazon benefit our plan?”
Ares: “You don’t need to worry about her, she won’t stop us.”
Hades: “from where I sit, I’s seems just the opposite.”
Ares: “Exactly, you sit. Let me worry about the fighting, and you worry about the souls that will be yours soon, Diana is my problem.”
Hades: “please don’t tell me you actually fell something for her? Don’t tell me you are as weak as your father.”
Ares: “I’m a force of nature, I don’t fell things. She means nothing to me, if she tries to stop us, I would kill her myself”.
Cut to Diana in Athena’s place. Athena congratulate for her victory, saying that Diana is truly a champion. Athena then says that the only way to stop the army from waging war is to close the gates of the underworld. That means Diana must go to Hades’s palace, and close the gates from there. Athena says that after Diana closes the gates, she will teleport her out of there.
Diana goes to the entrance of the underworld, but she is then confronted by Artemis.
Artemis tells Diana to stop, and come with her. Diana says she must close the gates, and stop the war. Artemis says this is not a job for a Princess, and she has already done enough damage. Diana says that she isn’t the one that started this was, and that this war would have happen either way. She says that the gods play games with the mortals, and that her father, Zeus, would have taken responsibly long time ago, all of this wouldn’t happen.
Diana says that she is now the only one to stop Ares, and she won’t sit and wait for the end of the world, she will fight to prevent it. Artemis says that she would die there, and Diana says that she won’t go down easy. Artemis starts to respect Diana, and offers to join her, but Diana says that Artemis needs to warn her mother and prepare the Amazons for war in case she fails. Artemis says she was wrong about her, and she is worthy to be a Queen someday, and she would be honored to serve her.
Diana enters the underworld, and finds out it’s a very crazy place. Some scary moments for the movie, with dark caves and all that. Diana then walks into a giant cave, filed with fire and a full army of monsters. The monsters are about to attack her, but then they all stop. Persephone, the wife of Hades, shows up and tells Diana that no one will hurt her, and that her husband wants to talk.
Persephone takes Diana to Hades, who sits on his throne, and behind him there are big doors, which are the gates to the underworld.
Hades: “so happy to meet another family member, been along time since a living mortal came here.”
Diana: “I’m her to stop you and Ares!”
Hades: “now I remember why I hate Zeus’s kids, they are son annoying, always disrespect the one god that sooner or later they will become part of his Kingdome. Do you want to meet some of your brothers and sisters, most of them are here. I hold the fate of their little souls, one snap of figures, and puff, they are going to Tartarus. You should show more respect to me, little girl, of I might send your girlfriend to Tartarus as well. A very fresh soul just came here few days ago. What was her name?”
Diana: “Mala!”
Hades: “Hmmm, Mala, yes. So young, such a shame”.
Diana: “Where is Ares?”
Hades: “Not important. You are here to close the gates, so, what are you waiting for? Go and close them”.
Diana steps forward, but different monsters show up near the gate.
Hades: “Coming here wasn’t a very smart move, my dear. This is my world, If I think it, it will happen. I am the God here.”
Diana is getting ready for a fight.
Hades: “What are you going to do? Fight every creature in the underworld? You are strong, but no one can survive, not even you.”
Diana: “I will”
Hades: “I do love your fearlessness, now I understand what Ares saw in you, can’t blame him. But I will make you a deal. Not because I’m scared of you, but I do like making deals. I would bring your friend back to life, if you agree to stay here and become my mistress. Persephone is my wife, but you are very lovely. So stay and you won’t be killed by my armies. And your friend will also stay here, she would be one of my slaves, but she would be alive. What do you say?”
Diana: “Let Mala go, and I won’t kill you”.
Hades Laughs, but then Diana strikes. She almost takes Hades’s head off, but he grabs her midair, and slams her on the ground.
Hades: “such a shame, you could one day replace Persephone, but now you would have to die.”
Hades is about to kill Diana, but then Ares shows up and cuts Hades’s hand off.
Hades screams, but Ares grabs Diana and they teleport out of there.
They teleport to Themyscira, to the place they used to make love.
Diana tries to attack Ares, but she is injured. Ares hold her, and tells her to stay in Themyscira. Tell her mother to stand down, and the Amazons will be spared.
Ares says he don’t want to see Diana get hurt.
Diana says he won’t use her again, but Ares says that he never did, and then he disappears.
Back in the underworld, Hades grows his hand back, and Ares shows up.
Hades: “I would kill you very slowly, I think I would kill you every day for the next million years. And I won’t be gentle.”
Ares: “You army is ready for war, I don’t need to anymore.”
Hades: “this is my army, they answer only to me!”
Ares: “not anymore. They are now on the way to earth, they now my army. You can control them as long the gates are open, but if your army is on earth, and the gates are closed, your army will answer to me.”
Hades: “Well, the gates are still open”.
Ares: “Are they?”
Ares jumps in the air, fights off Hades, and them fly through the gates, and close them.
Hades: “Why nobody shows me respect!?”
Cut to Themyscira, Diana is limping to meet the other Amazons.
She arrives just to see that the Amazons are all ready for war. Hippolyta rides a Pegasus, and also ready for the war. Some of the Amazons see Diana, and rush to help her. Hippolyta lend near Diana, while Artemis helps her stand.
Hippolyta: “Why are you here? You were told not to come to this place again”.
Artemis: “My Queen, if not Diana we wouldn’t be ready…”
Hippolyta gives Artemis an angry look and then looks at Diana.
Hippolyta: “Artemis believes that you deserve a second chance, that you have proven yourself to her. But Artemis isn’t the Queen, she is not the one you need to prove yourself to”.
Diana: “I now, but mother the war is coming. You don’t have to give me a second chance, but humanity won’t get a second chance. Hades has sent his army, the war will start either way. I did not cause this, but I will end it.
I don't know how we will stop the army, but I will stand and fight.
I am not a little girl anymore. I’m the champion of Olympus, I am the daughter of Zeus, and I am the Princess of Themyscira, your daughter.
I know that what I did disappointed you, and I know you are angry. But it is me who would live with that for the rest of my life, the blood of Mala is on my hands. No amount of your anger would make me feel worse then what I’m making myself feel.
And we standing here and wasting time won’t change anything; we need to go, now. And if we live through this, then I will accept any punishment that you wish.”
Hippolyta looks at Diana, and then calls her Amazons for war.
A portal open on the shore of Themyscira, and the underworld army goes through it. The war begins, and the Amazons and the monsters clash. An epic battle.
Near the end, Hippolyta fights Ares, and he almost kills her, but Diana crashes into him, and they fly into a temple.
They start fighting, and this is a lovers battle.
At some point, Ares is about to kill Diana, but Diana uses the Lasso of Truth to fight back, and the lasso makes Ares to say the truth, he says that for the first time, he really loved something, and he did loved her, but he can’t battle his nature. He can’t stop the fire inside him, his need for chaos. Diana uses his hesitation to turn this around, but then Ares grabs Diana, and chokes her from behind. Diana asks: since when does Ares is the arrant boy of Hades, and as the lasso is still around Ares, he says that he controls the army, if he dies the army will be sent back to the underworld.
Diana sees her Amazon sisters being killed by the monsters, and she understands that it will be all lost. She grabs her sword, and she drives it through both of them.
They fall, and then they share a final moment before they both die, while Ares is holding Diana in his arms. Ares disappears in a big flash of light, causing and earthquake on the island. The army of the dead disappears also.
Diana’s body is found by Hippolyta, Artemis and some other Amazons. Hippolyta falls on her knees and cries. Suddenly a dark shadow appears, and Hades stands by Diana.
Hades: “Such a shame”.
Hades grabs Diana’s body, but then he gets hit by lightning. Zeus appears, holding a bolt in his hand.
Zeus: “You won’t take this one, brother”
Hades: “You know the rules, Zeus. She is dead, she is mine”.
Zeus: “You just lost a war, do you want to start another one so soon?”
Hades: “I would make you a deal”
Zeus: “No! I will make you my own deal. Leave now, or die. One God already died today, will be a shame if another one dies too.”
Hades: “She will be mine, soon. I need only to wait a little longer.” And then Hades disappears.
As soon a Hades is gone, Diana wakes up, and her wounds are healed.
Zeus helps her stand and then he says: “You did well, my child”, and then he is gone.
Hippolyta runs to hug Diana, and fade to another scene.
Diana stands in front of Mala’s grave. Hippolyta comes to stand beside her.
Diana: “Zeus should have brought her back, not me.”
Hippolyta: “don’t you say that. Mala died protecting her Princess from a god, she died a warrior’s way. Her name will always be remembered”.
Diana then looks around, with tears.
Diana: “I did loved him, mother.”
Hippolyta: “I know, and love sometimes hurts. But we are Amazons, we don’t break easy. You did the right thing.”
Diana wipes her tears.
Hippolyta: “What will you do now?”
Diana: “the humans, they call me Wonder Woman. They now see me us their champion also. This is my duty now.”
Hippolyta: “And what about Themyscira?”
Diana: “Themyscira has many champions now, every Amazon that fought in this war is worthy to be called a champion.”
Hippolyta: “and what will happen when it will be your time to be a Queen?”
Diana: “When that day will come, I will do my duty for my people, but now I have to prove myself.”
Hippolyta: “You already proved yourself to me.”
Diana: “I know, I need to prove myself to me.”
Diana takes flight, and the movie ends with her flying in the sky, and Hippolyta says “You will, you will, Wonder Woman”.
