FANTASTIC FOUR Kid-Centric Spinoff Rumored To Be A Reworking Of Mark Millar's KINDERGARTEN HEROES
There's been a rumor doing the rounds regarding a Fantastic Four spinoff that would focus on Franklin and Valeria Richards, and now we might just have a few more details to go on. More past the jump...
You'll probably recall a rumor we ran back in June that 20th Century Fox was planning some kind of kid-friendly Fantastic Four spinoff that would focus on the children of Reed Richards and Susan Storm with The Thing and Human Torch on board as supporting characters, and now we may have some new info to add.
According to Bleeding Cool's sources, the idea has actually been folded in with an existing screenplay for Kindergarten Heroes, which is based on an unpublished children's book by Mark Millar. Apparently, Millar pitched the concept to Fox back in 2013 and the script was completed by Carter Blanchard.
If this report is accurate, the new story would combine elements of that screenplay and this new FF kid's project, which is being written by Seth Grahame-Smith.
Take this with a pinch of salt for now, but it is worth noting that THR recently confirmed that the idea was on the table in their Doctor Doom article.
