Superhero Hype caught up with
Chronicle director Josh Trank while he was doing press for the film and asked him about the rumors floating around that he was the front runner for the new
Fantastic Four reboot. Like in his previous interview Trank remained coy about the rumor saying that people know just as much as he does and that he did see the leak online. He also went on to state that he is focused on getting Chronicle finished up right now and reiterated that he has some original ideas that he is working on. Said Trank,
"I know as much as you guys know. I'm totally serious. I know as much as you. I saw that leak online and I was like, 'Um, okay, I'm trying to finish Chronicle right now.' This is weird. There's nothing to say, 'Chronicle' is exactly the kind of superhero movie that I wanted to make and, going forward, I want to have some original ideas and different things I'm working on."
There has been no official announcement as of now which is probably why Tank is not talking too much about it. Trank also seems very much focused on making sure all the press goes directly to Chronicle instead of the Fantastic Four rumor. On the other hand he has given no indication that he is even going to take the project in the first place. What do you guys think, do you think he is just no answering because it hasn't been announced or do you think he is going to turn down the job? Leave your comments in the comment boxes below.
