Magic, monsters, gods and madness reign throughout the palaces and pyramids of the Nile River Valley in this action-adventure inspired by the classic mythology of Egypt. With the survival of mankind hanging in the balance, an unexpected hero takes a thrilling journey to save the world and rescue his true love. Set (Gerard Butler), the merciless god of darkness, has usurped Egypt’s throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. With only a handful of heroic rebels opposing Set’s savage rule, Bek (Brenton Thwaites), a bold and defiant mortal, enlists the aid of powerful god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in an unlikely alliance against the evil overlord. As their breathtaking battle against Set and his henchmen take them into the afterlife and across the heavens, both god and mortal must pass tests of courage and sacrifice if they hope to prevail in the spectacular final confrontation.

Gods of Egypt opens February 26th.

@WeddingTux - by seeing this clip... i'm really glad that Proyas didn't made PL with that approach... would ruin an epic story. By the way, i love the band. ;)

@PapaEmeritus - Christ I didn't even realize that was a band's logo, it's the same font as every paperback fantasy novel ever so eh, honest mistake. I don't mind the way this movie looks and I still wonder about them abandoning the project, it had such a great cast.

@WeddingTux - yes, i'm a big fan of Proyas and i was very intrigued by PL... the cast was great indeed. I could be wrong but after seeing what he is doing with GOE i assume he would use this kind of style for that stillborn project.

Can't blame the actors for that... I hope

@dubjon - I am going to go with this being a script and direction issue. Great actors can give bad performances because of bad direction. If you have ever seen Game of Thrones then you know Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the white guy in the clip, who plays Jaime Lannister can give a great performance.

Sooooo, is Bosworth gonna use that accent in Black Panther?

I mean, Panther could have a British-African accent, but trust me, that's not how they sound.

Boseman, not Bosworth.

Oh WoW, but after all the glaringly silly-looking things about this film on the basis of trailers and all the swift and sudden hate...it actually seems like this'll be a genuinely STUPID MOVIE.
