New Conan the Barbarian Poster Revealed!

We saw the theatrical trailer, and now here is a brand new poster for Marcus Nispel-directed film Conan the Barbarian, featuring the Cimmerian in all his glory. Hit the jump to check it out!

The armor they are wearing is a lot more reminiscent of central Asian armor. They don’t really look like samurai. I think you are trying a little too hard to hate this film.

It’s a Conan the Barbarian movie. Barbarian fighting bad guys and monsters. It’s a pretty cliché premise to begin with. What did you expect from the poster? BUT. Looking at the trailer it has the makings of being one of the best “Barbarian fighting bad guys and monsters” movies ever made. Which is good because that’s all it’s trying to do.

A lot of people had problem with “cloverfield” and it isn’t “Citizen Kane” but Cloverfield is one of the best “Giant Moster destroys a city” movies that has been made thus far.


Calling this poster cliché is like calling Crème Brulee cliché. It might be cliché’ but in a very enjoyable way that people appreciate

So far it seems to be a “serviceable” sound track. Perhaps there is better to come. Perhaps not.

Oh, it's a sleeper alright lol. Come'on, erz. You gotta know your statement is a bit hyperbolic. The trailer is better than the Immortals, by far? In my opinion, that's ridiculous. And I don't have any strong feelings about the Immortals though it does look pretty sick visually. I guess like all things, it boils down to opinion.

But, you really think that scene where the chick blows dust around "Conan" (that becomes a mud man) is better then the footage in Immortals? I'm asking because it looks like something from TV. Reminds me of Xena and the old Conan show. That show was pretty fun. But yeah, the FX look cheap.

@Intruder: If it's the trailer music that's bugging you and putting you off...no worries because the Screenwriter Sean Hood said that the music wont be in the movie and that Tyler bates is composing a very "Old world and barbaric" type score.

I've been pretty hard on this film (based on what little I'd seen), but after the first full-lenght trailer came out I'm eating some crow. I admit, this ACTUALLY looks decent! I still think Momoa can't act his way out of a paper bag, but then again neither can Keanu Reeves, and look at the first 'Matrix'! I'm think I'm actually getting excited for this film...
