And here's a portion of the press release that accompanied them.

BURBANK, Calif. (Aug. 10, 2013) — Disney and Marvel Studios revealed exclusive details about their upcoming live action film slates this morning at the D23 Expo, aided by live and video appearances from talent and filmmakers and hosted by The Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn.

“Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm are some of the most powerful and beloved brands in entertainment,” said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. “We have so many incredible cinematic adventures ahead of us, and it is especially exciting to be able to share the exclusive details with our biggest fans first at the D23 Expo.”

Horn welcomed the crowd to the D23 Expo and introduced the live action slate by talking about the addition of Lucasfilm to The Walt Disney Studios and the excitement and anticipation surrounding Disney’s first “Star Wars” film, “Star Wars: Episode VII,” slated for release in 2015.

Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, and Sean Bailey, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, presented overviews of the Marvel Studios and Disney live action slates.

Well, to be fair, they don't start shooting Star Wars until next year. Give it time.

I'm a bit disappointed they didn't have Star Wars news, but we all know within the coming two months, they will have something.

Even then, the movie does not come out until 2015, so there isn't enough time, before they can give info about the movie.

What Star Wars news could they actually have one year before they start shooting? I know they are trying to get Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamil in shape and to not look like shit. That is about it.

@PantherX They are targeting a 2015 release date. But that's not final, so releasing a date at this point before production would be a bit premature.
