Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will feature:
Director: David Yates
Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander
Katherine Waterston as Tina
Alison Sudol as Queenie
Dan Fogler as Jacob

It was a little underwhelming but it's still a year away. Did they really need a trailer for this though already? I guess with all the big epic franchise films releasing their trailers this past month, they felt they needed to jump on board. Still, the best TRAILERS I've seen released were Star Trek Beyond and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Captain America: Civil War didn't show enough, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice showed TOO much, and X-Men: Age of Apocalypse looked really cheesy with the effects.

Looks... okay? Is there even going to be any action/suspense in this? Looks very...kid friendly. At least HP went darker as the movies went.

I just hope they don't make it as dark as they did from Azkaban to Deathly Hallows films. Alfonso Cuaron really [frick]ed up the tone from Azkaban, and they just kept that tone.

Hoping it'll feel more like Philosophers and Chamber.

Hm, I respectfuly disagree here. I believe Azkaban set the perfect tone for the following movies. Although, I think the Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets had that "magical" feeling that Culumbus brought and other HP didn't have.

Loved the Harry Potter books and the only movies that came close to matching them were the two Deathly Hollow ones.

Eddy looks cool as the character so will check this out.

@venom0706 "it sends the American wizarding authorities after Newt, and it threatens even further the state of magical and non-magical relations, which is already in a dangerous place, due to the threatening presence of the fanatical extremist group that call themselves, in short, "The Second Salemers". The story tells of what effect this devastating mistake has on the state of wizard/No-Maj (the American term for a non-magical person) relations in New York City's community of wizards and witches in 1926, the effort to correct the mistake, and the horrors of the resultant increase in violence, fear, and tension felt between magical and non-magical peoples."

sounds pretty dark to me. Could almost be seen as a metaphor for racism which is essentially the backbone of harry potter anyway

I have to disagree with you there; Prisoner of Azkaban is, for me, the perfwect Harry Potter film. Darker than its predecessors, while still reatining much of the awe and magical aspects of those.
I do believe they went over the top with the darkness in the following films, though. Especially with The Goblet of Fire.

Speaking sopecifically about this trailer, though... underwhelming.

Harry Potter explored adult themes and matured with its audience. The tone became darker to reflect the evil gaining power over the course of the story. Not trying to troll, but Ralph Fiennes played a better villain than the majority of the marvel villains thus far. Villains are supposed to be evil, not comical. I'm looking forward to this because I can finally enjoy the movie without comparing it to the book.

Decent little teaser. I've always liked the HP universe.

Fairly underwhelming teaser, but I'm still psyched as [frick] for this movie.

The tone Cuaron chose for Azkaban made sense, considering the source material. Even if you look past the escape of the alleged accomplice in the Potters' murder, Lupin's lycanthropy, and Buckbeak's execution, the dementors alone warrant a dark tone.

Prisoner of Azkaban was my favourite of the movies, maybe of the books as well. First three are the ones I liked best.

oh look, people are being negative...I wasn't expecting that....

I'm excited but I'm wondering when Ezra Miller is going to announce that being a part of this franchise made him question the fabric of his reality?

I never read the Harry Potter stuff and I've only seen bits and pieces of the movies

But, WB is has an awesome lineup for 2016

That looks cool enough. WB needs a strong year next year after all the bombs they've had this year or some people will be losing their jobs, but luckily for everyone Batman and Harry Potter are coming to the rescue.

As a Potter fan, I'm really not excited by this. While the first three Potter movies were good (Azkaban was particularly awesome), Goblet and onwards were just big letdowns for me as a fan. Much like the Star Wars prequels, they glazed over plot and character details as fast as possible in order to make way for visual effects. I could rant for days, but I really hope these new Fantastic Beasts movies stand on their own and don't rely on callbacks or tedious namedrops or overt foreshadowing. If there's any young Dumbledore mentions, or Potter ancestors, or whatever else, I'm out. JK Rowling, as much as I respect her as an author, is clearly unable to remove herself from this literary world she's created, so I hope to God she can at least craft a good story without relying on callbacks to her older work.

the pan franchise is a flop and the king arthur franchise beginning next year will probably be a flop too. wb is going down the drain really quick. expect this movie to have sequels because harry potter movies make money.
