"Her mother and her father were killed basically right in front of her."

In the latest issue of SFX Magazine there is a new Snow White and the Huntsman article. In the article Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth open up a bit about the film. Kristen makes it clear that this retelling of the Snow White fairy tale is extremely dark and won't skip over the tragic moments in the character's life.
"She's definitely a born leader," says Twilight mega-star Kristen Stewart, who plays Snow White, stepdaughter of the evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron). "I mean, it's literally pumping through those veins, but it's been taken from her she was put away when she was seven years old and her mother and her father were killed basically right in front of her. And we're not doing the version of a fairytale that wouldn't deal with all of those things, where you sort of skim over all those things. It's like all of these things are actually really important to the characters. She bleeds for her land and her people, and that's just such a cool concept for me because it's other people caring about people. I mean, she's strong. She can kick ass. I think she genuinely lacks that innate fear of death that we all have. She's got serious, fierce survival, not skills but insights. But she isn't afraid of anything."

Chris on the other hand reveals that he'll be sporting a Scottish accent for his role as the Huntsman. He also gushes about the enormous battle sequences.
"Growing up I always loved films like this, films that transported you into another world," says Hemsorth, who loses the blonde mane and adopts a Scottish accent to play the grizzled Huntsman. "We've had plenty of big fight sequences and battle sequences which were great. We had like a hundred horse on the beach at one stage, and 30 or 40 horses within the castle they'd built, a hundred extras in full armor fighting and things on fire. It certainly gets the adrenaline going."

Snow White & The Huntsman, will open in theaters June 1, 2012. Starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Ian McShane, Ray Winstone, Nick Frost, and Bob Hoskins.

I cant get over Charlize Theron's stupid accent in the previews and how she accentuates every [frick]ing word she utters. It's annoying as hell and I for one will not watch this movie just for that.

Is this a comic book movie?

Having Chris Hemsworth doesn't mean it's relevant to this site...

I watched Breaking Dawn part 1 today. Is it bad that I found great pleasure in watching her die? :P

@BlackWidow not at all, we share in your death mongering for all Twighlight characters, now this movie might be decent if they could manage to stear from these teen themes that are so prevelant in movies today.
Go Avengers

@TheBlackWidow Bela dies!! Freaken' spoiler alert! Haha Just kidding don't care.
No, and its not wrong to take pleasure in watching her die, what an annoying character. She is more like a Marysue character in a lousy fanfic of a much better story.

By the way Widow ever read Slash Fiction between Edward and Jacob?
And by Slash fiction I mean stories where they get slashed into little pieces and die horrible deaths.
'cause i would love to read that sort of slash.

Her parents were killed right in front of her. And odds she showed no emotion other than a stupid expression on her face as though someone asked her to recite pie to the 13th place then she switched to bored.

Kristen Stewart won me over in The Runaways, so yeah, she's HOT!

Can't wait for this. Charlize is an amazing actress, she's so versatile.

and Kristen Stewart is bad in Twilight, i'll give you all that but she's great in smaller movies such as Runaways, Into The Wild and Adventureland. Maybe it's just the pressure of the bigger movies that gets to her, I don't know but she's not a consistantly bad actress.

AND she's hot. Not 'Snow White' beautiful, but I wouldn't say she's ugly at all.

That's funny two Snow White's movies this year?
Not fond of K.Stewart so I'd rather watch any Uwe Boll flick first.

I would rather have seen Emmy Rossum as Snow White. Or perhaps Amanda Seyfried.

Anyways... this can be cool. Liked the trailer.

@Seejay Great choice! I never thought of Emmy Rossum, she'd be great. Amanda already played Red Riding Hood, so I don't think she should be Snow White too XD but Emmy would've been awesome.
