New Look At The Wicked Witch From OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL

AICN have posted snaps of some merchandise from The Disney Store which give us a clear look at Mila Kunis (that isn't a secret anymore right?) as that most wicked of Westerly witches from Sam Raimi's upcoming adventure flick. Check out some pics of her mug - on a mug - after the jump..

The last tv spot for this movie tried to make it a mystery as to who will actually turn out to be the Wicked Witch, Mila Kunis or Rachael Weisz. Unfortunately a poster was released a while before that which made things pretty clear, and if the cat wasn't well and truly out of the bag then, it certainly is now..

"Oz The Great and Powerful" imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

Rachel Weiz is suppose to be The Wicked Witch. Maybe Sam Raimi added a last minute change. Mila Kurnis looks hot as The Wicked Witch.

Sigh. Ok, for those that missed it, and also chose not to read the article, this was spoiled..by the studio themselves.. AGES ago. And I'm not even talking about the poster - Kunis was outed as the Wicked Witch during the very first set reports for God's sake.

Not trying to come down on you Ror you post great stuff, I just died a little inside though cause this was a childhood favorite of mine (books and movies) and I was really looking forward to it and had no idea who the WW was gonna be. Maybe calls for a minor spoiler alert if its on main? Just a thought

SpideyQuad@ Yeah. It took Mila Kunis and Sexy Witch (or "Wicked Witch" - whatever) to peak my interest. I mean, Raimi, Oz prequel, sure, I'll see it when it comes out. Sold. But, no I've not even bothered to watch the trailer. Good to hear she'll be green.

You would think this was an actual comic book movie which I would understand people moaning about "spoilers"....but [frick]ing hell...it's the wizard of oz for god sake,you only have to read what character she is in imdb and know she is the bad witch! So she obviously makes the transition to green cos there are posters of her green,maybe this is the mid transition lol

It's not really a surprise, since Theodora is the green Wicked Witch of the West in the book/musical Wicked. And Evanora is the witch of the East, who Dorothy dropped her house on. I'm just interested to see why Theodora is pretending to be nice, or is it a Jekyll/Hyde thing? And if Glinda is the witch of the North, is there a witch of the South?
