Shame the aren't higher quality but I'm sure hi res versions will appear online soon ad we will update. Below are some highlights, courtesy of /Film, of the Legendary Pictures panel featuring new info on the movie as well as quotes from Bradley Cooper(Lucifer) and director Alex Proyas..

The epic will cover the major plot points from the poem, including the war of the angels, Lucifer’s fall from grace, and his battle with the archangel Michael.

Cooper revealed that he was a big fan of the source material, having studied it in college. He won the role by “begging” Proyas for the role and submitting an audition tape filmed in his kitchen.

Cooper on the plot: “I relate a lot to this character and this story… To me, it’s a very small story about an intimate nuclear family, two brothers and their father, and what happens when one son feels utterly betrayed.” He also described Lucifer as written in Paradise Lost as “a very sympathetic character.”

Proyas revealed that he tried to be “as faithful as we can” in putting together the film, and that the team even hired a Milton scholar to “keep us in check.”

Proyas also spoke on trying to create the worlds of Heaven, Hell and Eden with current technology: “I guess you try and raise the bar each time, but at the end of the day you just try and do something that works and suits the story.” However, one challenge was “trying to avoid historically what’s been done visually to depict these ideas, and trying to do something unique.”

Interesting.

I hope this is a return to form for Proyas. Dark City and The Crow are 2 of my fave genre films.

This seems like this will be a cool movie to see. The power of Heaven VS the darkness of Hell.

Gunsmith and Nordberg, Doesn't matter what you 'prefer' since even the biblical depiction of angels is nothing like how pop culture represents. They should stick to Milton's work and biblical reference for this movie, not the whims and desires of lesser mortals. MWAHAHAHAHAHA! Seriously though guys, look up some of this stuff and read Paradise Lost if you get a chance. The 'Dragonfly' winged angel is a Seraph, which is the highest choir of Angels. They are described in different manners depending on the religion referencing them, yet they are always described as having 6 wings and their name always translates to "Burning Ones" or something similar such as "Those who Kindle" In these religions they are the most powerful of Gods Angels, of them, Lucifer was one. Others include Micheal, Gabriel, Kemeul, Nathanael, Metatron, Uriel, Jehoel, Seraphiel, and Sandalphon. These angels are described as being quite terrible to behold with there 6 wings, 4 heads(1 for each cardinal direction) and multitude of eyes upon a blazing form of purist light. The Angels you think of in the most classic sense are actually the lowest choir. I'll spare you a further lesson in theology as I'm sure this kinda shit only intrigues nerds like me.

Well this thing better be an epic. This story really sounds insane. And the finale battle will have to be pretty awesome because it is between Lucifer and Micheal. Bradley has me puzzeled though.

@Essex

Thanks for the edumacation!

I'm passingly familiar with Paradise Lost but I didn't know of Milton's take on the angels or that the different choirs were anatomically different from one another...

Yeah, not feeling the dragonfly-like wings at all. But other than that, the concept art looks friggin sweet.

@revloveR: Ikr? In things like this, you can't help but cheer for the bad guy.

Yet another movie about yours truly.

Of course it's a far cry from Hildegard Von Bingen, and the art of Durer, but something is better than nothing now isn't it?

This is actually quite valuable and useful.
