Though it leaked in rough quality earlier today, the new and final trailer for the much-anticipated final chapter to Peter Jackson's Middle-Earth saga, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, has been released! Featuring almost two and a half minutes of epic new visuals, check it out below!

From Academy Award-winning film-maker Peter Jackson comes The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, the third in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by JRR Tolkien. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town.Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo's frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide: unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-Earth hangs in the balance. Starring Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lilly, Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom and Hugo Weaving,The Battle of the Five Armies hits December 17, 2014.

This is the final trailer even though it's only the second one released? It seems like nowadays, the amount of trailers for films are being cut down. I'm fine with that though.

Although I don't really like these new Hobbit films that much, it is still the #1 thing I get most excited for during the Holidays.

This trailer has many Marvel characters and no DC ones. WB fails hard.

Looks incredible! Can't wait to see some of what PJ added that wasn't in the Hobbit novel to tie it to the LOTR. Should be interesting...

Looks great, I love Tolkien's legendarium and these movies have been among my favorite films. I remember when I was in high school I used to watch these movies pretty much every weekend. Good times.
