Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests.

This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

Into the Woods features:
Director: Rob Marshall
Meryl Streep as The Witch
Emily Blunt as The Baker's Wife
James Corden as The Baker
Anna Kendrick as Cinderella
Chris Pine as Cinderella's Prince
Johnny Depp as The Wolf
Lilla Crawford as Little Red Riding Hood
Daniel Huttlestone as Jack
Tracey Ullman as Jack's Mother
Christine Baranski as Cinderella's Stepmother
Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel
Billy Mangussen as Rapunzel's Prince

Into The Woods hits theaters December 25

@Axe I've never seen the musical, but from what I read, it's an amalgamation of the fairytales + singing (don't know the plot details).

I extremely do not like musicals. Its wierd I can go to a play or theatre and be just fine. But a movie thats a musical is quite annoying IMO.

It looks pretty good. It's got a lot of the whimsical element that Disney has lacked with their recent live-action films.

Emily Blunt should be mentioned for more CBM roles.

Anything with the Lodger from Doctor Who is ok by me.
