Accompanying Marvel's The Avengers' attendance, New York Comic-con have announced, via Cosmic Book News, Sony's much-anticipated Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance sequel will also have a presence at the annual event next week.

After blazing a trail around the globe in the worldwide hit Ghost Rider, Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in Columbia Pictures' Ghost Rider - Spirit of Vengeance. Still struggling with his curse as the devil's bounty hunter, Blaze is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider again, but it is the only way to protect the boy - and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.

Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the directors of the film, will be in attendance to give you a look at their vision for the film and their no-holds-barred style of directing in a special panel set for Saturday at 4:00 PM in the IGN Theater - Presented by Sprint.

Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance picks up where it's been several years since making a deal with the Devil and Johnny Blaze, living in self-imposed isolation, finds himself as the only person who can help save 10-year-old Danny – and ultimately the world – thanks to his unwanted and uncontrollable power – his ability to transform into the hell-on-wheels monster 'Ghost Rider'. Starring Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Lambert & Violante Placido, the 3D film releases in February 17 2012

I'm hoping to see what they have in store for us. I love Nicolas Cage as an actor and 2 the movie looks a hell of alot better than the first. My favorite superhero and my favorite film director(s) together in one? Can't go wrong at all. I can't wait to see the full film opening day!!!

maybe when they say "rid himself of the curse forever" they could possibly be setting something up where the curse gets passed to the boy, who if im not mistaken is danny ketch? thats just my theory tho.

i believe this movie will redeem itself from the first one. it seems promising, probably won't be a winning movie but i'm sure it'll be decent and fun to watch. :)

@NOLANITE well, yes he did, but they are doing this one a little differently. it's like a sequel and a reboot in one.
and B) Johnny Blaze isn't even supposed to want to be the ghost rider. Danny Ketch is the one that eventually says i'm gonna own this and use the rider for good. Johnny doesn't even want to be the ghost rider.

I would love to ask the panel "Why do you have a scene in the preview that looks like GR is peeing fire?" IS this movie really going to be that stupid?

Correction!

Karl Urban or Josh Holloway should have been Johnny Blaze!
