Released February 16 2007, the original Ghost Rider film earned $228.7 million worldwide. And now according to SuperHeroHype, an official release date for the duo Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor-directed sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengence, has been set for the CBM-packed year of 2012.

"Sony's Columbia Pictures has set a February 17, 2012 release date for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance"

And on the Spirit Of Vengence's story, theres an elusive script review HERE; Where Johnny Blaze will be an voluntary exile, who believes that not having contact with people, will cause the spirit of vengeance not to emerge. And with numerous characters in the middle of the story, villains Mephisto with the human name Roarke, and Carrigan are searching for our Brimstone Biker.

With Nicolas Cage reprising his role as the daring Johnny Blaze, apparently the sequel has already began shooting in Bucharest, Romania. And being released in both 3D and 2D theaters February 2012, which much-anticipated CBMs The Avengers, Batman 3, and the Spider-Man, Superman & Fantastic Four reboots all have release of the same year.
