Nicolas Cage Shares His Thoughts On Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance Directors!

In another video interview, the actor shares his thoughts on what it's been like working with the directing duo, likening Mark Neveldine to a stuntman and Brian Taylor as a big help in his portrayal of playing Johnny Blaze...

"It’s going to be really wild. There's a lot of adrenaline. It’s like extreme sports."

"One of the directors, Mark Neveldine, is literally like a stuntman/filmmaker. He’s getting shots and he’s also a cameraman and director. So he’s getting shots on roller blades, off of bungee cords. He’s really risking his life to make the movie."

"Brian Taylor ... he was a big advocate for me playing Ghost Rider the character himself, and that allowed me to go in a completely new direction with this version of it. 'Spirit of Vengeance' will be an entirely new experience."

Starring alongside Cage, Idris Elba, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Lambert and Violante Placido, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is set to be released in 3D on February 17, 2012!

As long as it's done in a serious and dark tone, I think Cage is going to surprise some people. I'm really looking forward to this one.

I'll definitely see this. It'll probably be after it's out for rent.

I just don't like Nic Cage as Johnny Blaze.

I didn't have any problem with the first Ghost Rider movie except for Black Heart and Maphesto looking like Matrix rejects. Instead of Black Heart becoming the biblical legion he should look like Black Heart! And the 'demons' that were set up like video game villians. Ghost Rider himself looked awesome the best version of a comic book hero yet (except for the bike)

nic cage as johnny blaze is one of the worst castings ever.

give the rights back to marvel let them reboot the franchise.

i'll watch it,but i haven't got very high hopes for this movie.

Cage is a good actor with a good director and I think this could be not too bad. Fingers crossed

the only way it will work if we see more of ghost rider in CGI and less of Nick Cage even more so like 90 percent of the movie is ghost irder

Nic Cage= GREAT actor in all films. But just too old to be believable as Johny Blaze/Ghost Rider.

Was this at least a semi-reboot? Because i would have thought they'd recast with a different guy instead of Cage?

Eh, he's still a great actor- I give him that.

@OSCURO- If Cage ever got the role of SUPERMAN...I would go [frick]ing BALLISTIC on Hollywood and start taking hostages, lol. But in all seriousness he's too old and balding for Superman. Hopefully he has really given up on that dream.

Movie might be ok but i would be 100% behind this movie if Josh Holloway or Karl Urban would play Johnny Blaze. Nothing against Nick Cage but... yeah he isnt Johnny Blaze.

Still really unsure about this movie. Not a fan of the directors' past work (also don't think that Nic Cage is the right guy for the part), but I like the look of the film and what I've heard about it so far.

Guess I'll make up my mind when we finally see some footage.

They keep giving Nick Cage roles because he's Nick Cage. I'm sick of seeing him. It's almost like he's writing the roles he gets for himself to live up to his own delusions of grandeur. I know that's not true, but seriously...why does he keep getting cast as "the badass" or "Mysterious Stranger that's DANGEROUS" whooooooo! He sucks. He's good as a screwed up damaged person or as someones dad. Leaving Los Vegas= Great. Ghost Rider=His all time low. I wish he would've been in Superman. Maybe that would've buried his career once and for all.

Ever since Superman Cage has been dying to be a superhero, so they finally pulled Ghost Rider out of obscurity and gave it to him. He does not look like a superhero. He's too old. He's horrible as Ghost Rider. I'm sure if he couldn't find someone to cast him as a superhero he would have spent his own money to do it himself.

Cage is an old, washed up haz-bin loser sell out. His movies are all symbolic, demonic madness shallow of any kind of substance. Johnny Blaze is supposed to be hip and cool like Johnny Storm, right? So what the hell happened? Y'all KNOW mad strings were pulled in Hollywood to put his wrinkled ass in the role not once, but TWICE.
