What's the point of JUDGING a movie before you see it????

I gave WOLVERINE and ROTF that chance! Only movie i knew this year that was gonna be Awesome before i went to see it was WATCHMEN!!! INCREDIBLE HULK surprised me too!

GI JOE is gonna be a great pop corn ride start to finish! Pointless bitching about it! ; D

LEEE777: I am also looking forward to this. Though mainly because Snake-Eyes is just so cool. Watchmen is the best comic book movie of all time. I liked Wolverine (hated one of my favorites, Deadpool, in that movie though), and I also liked ROTF (but also hated on of my favorites, Jetfire, in that one as well). So I am looking forward to G.I. Joe.

A lot of people need to watch some episodes of the original cartoon again. This is a series that had characters such as Big Lob, Dial Tone, Quick Kick, and SGT Slaughter battling villains such as Dr. Mindbender and Serpentor...Cobra-la-la-la-la-la-la!!! Don't expect to get Full Metal Jacket out of that. The series was fun and over the top and that's what the movie will and should be.

This popcorn movie defense is nonsense. In fact in comparison this makes more sense than this:

"ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? If this were a popcorn movie it should be marketed towards children, however the copious amounts of tits and ass used to sell the film say otherwise.

i suppose thats true..ive got so many ppl asking me how the Dennis Quaid kids couldve gotten that megadose..just cuz i work in the ER doesnt mean that i know exactly what happened there...the two do look alike tho..but to me thats just poor nursing...they shouldve known better and you have to check with another nurse just to make sure its correct and sign the med sheet out..so it had to be more than just that one nurse

Hey Reck 79...I agree with you that people should watch the old series and be thankful the movies does not follow that criteria. You missed the parts about how GI Joe would shoot down the Cobra hellicopters and destroy them(until a GI Joe needed it and the hellicopter would work). Also, don't forget the endings with some kid smoking and Duke would come in and tell him the reasons not to smoke b/c "Knowing is half the battle, go Joe"

imagine that show directly made into live action. i think this movie is the best we can ask for.

i will say, however, that the whole accelerator suit thing, as concentrated as they are in the movie, were never in the cartoon! i mean i know its bringing something original and it looks kind of cool, but u could have stuck that into any semi-futuristic military fight team type of movie. but then again, the suits are not too far from what COULD have been in the show...

Turd- The difference is that Ironman 2 won't have idiotic accelerator suits, they'll have kick ass armors. The difference is that Ironman 2 won't have shitty actors, they'll have award winners and nominees. The difference is that Ironman 2 won't have green nanobots eating the Eifel tower or controling The Baroness, they'll have state of the art and well illustrated technology as well as a well-thought out and profound plot. Keep in mind that i haven't seen the trailers for Ironman2 but comparing with the interviews we've had and the BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE EVER MADE as their first attempt, i think it's safe to say that GI JOE should NEVER be compared to Ironman. They're simply way the [frick] away from each others league!

The fact that this is a "popcorn movie" has nothing to do with it being good or bad.
This movie looks like it's gonna suck, not cause of the wayans brother, but because of a bad concept, bad story, bad script, and bad CGI. If you can't make CGI look real, why bother do it?
There are a lot of "popcorn movies" that were great, and a lot that sucked. This is one of the ones that'll suck.
I'm guessing that the producers of this film had a lot of bad ideas, and they found a director who would make it just for the job & money. All anyone needs to do is watch the Kevin Smith clip regarding Superman Lives, and you understand how some hollywood producers can come up with such crap.

After spending 9 years as an infantryman in the US Army, they lost me when they said it would not have any American politics in it.

They want to take GI Joe-who was originally the American fighting men of WWII and make it more friendly for international markets- screw them.

I don't care if they do have a "poor mans" Iron Man or even two of em, or even ninja's and action out the wazoo. Screw them they aren't getting my money for taking the GI Joe out of GI Joe. And that is why this movie will suck.

Is it just me or am I right into thinking that having a Wayans brother is a major flaw? Maybe it's just one of many flaws that'll be in this movie. I though this movie was going to be a action,sci-fi,adventure movie. With him in it Im sure it's going to have more than enough comic relief. Now I spent more than 10yrs in the U.S.Army(combat arms)nothing like the Green berets,Rangers,Special Forces,Navy Seals,or Marine Recon. Im suppose to believe that this G.I. unit is lightyears ahead of all of those forces combine and this Wayan's CLOWN is part of this elite fighting force....it's already FUNNY. Like I said maybe Im jumping the gun...maybe LEEE777(I LIKE HIS POST USUALLY... PRETTY INFORMATIVE) is right and supermike really isnt an A-HOLE.... I GUESS WE'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE.
