As Paramount's planned G.I. Joe spinoff/reboot, Snake Eyes, continues to round out its cast, the latest addition is up-and-coming Money Heist star Úrsula Corberó.

According to The Wrap, Corberó will play Cobra's villainous femme fatale, The Baroness. She'll join Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding as Snake Eyes and Warrior's Andrew Koji as his nemesis, Storm Shadow.

Sienna Miller previously played the character 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

Red and R.I.P.D. director Robert Schwentke is set to helm the movie from a script by Beauty and The Beast screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos. The plot is said to focus on the early days of the silent, masked warrior, as he attempts to join the ranks of the Ninja Clan known as Arashikage.

Snake Eyes is set to hit theaters on Oct. 16, 2020.

@DeadWade213 - "Traditionally depicted as a blind, paralyzed old woman"

...sounds absolutely thrilling.

Never heard of her. They really do need to cast Scarlet as Snake-eyes' better half though. And FFS, she better actually be a redhead.

This could be the Bumblebee of the G.I. Joe franchise. Although with Baroness as part of the movie, I'm not sure how much of G.I. Joe or Cobra will be in the spin-off.

@MasterMix - Baroness figured into some part of Snake Eyes' backstory in the Marvel comic. When Snakes was serving in Vietnam, Baroness's older brother Eugen was working with a humanitarian aid group in the area. Eugen learned some of the group's medical supplies were being stolen and funneled to the Viet Cong, and when he confronted the perps and their Cong contacts, he was shot and killed. At that moment, Snakes rushed in and gunned the Cong troops down. It was then that a young Baroness (15 at the time), who'd come to visit her brother, found Snakes in the middle of the incident. She fled, assuming the worst (that Snakes had killed Eugen); had she stayed longer, she'd have seen Snakes have his name cleared, by the father of Destro of all people.

Good casting, La Casa de Papel's cast is very talented and I love the show so much. The last cliffhanger of Part 3 was crazy and epic, can't wait for the next part to come out.

Nice. Will miss Sienna, though:

@theFUZZ008 - Not making her Russina or Eastern European and lacking the accent was a mistake, but otherwise she was pretty perfect in the role. I really liked everything about that Baroness up until she basically flipped to turn good.

@theFUZZ008 - See, I kindof thought that was on point. She says something like that while shooting up the place and doing this heist. The only think that would have made it better is if she shot the woman and took her shoes.

@gymbeau2000 - That's my favorite moment of that movie. I love her character, and that line.
