Yesterday we got a good low res look at a international banner for G.I. Joe Retaliation that featured Roadblock, Joe Colton, Lady Jaye, and Storm Shadow. Today Paramount has released an official character poster for the film that brings The Rock front and center as Roadblock. Since it is based on the shot from the banner we might be able to expect some more character posters pretty soon. Check it out below.

A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. JOE: RETALIATION. In this sequel, the G.I. G.I. Joe Retaliation stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson, and will be released on June 29, 2012.

I realize Bane isn't supposed to be flashy or anything, but I feel like the torso of his costume could have used some of the definition of the one the Rock is wearing here. I think it would have helped him to look more impressive. It's hard to tell though since the Rock always looks massive anyway.

Yeah i agree dont kill Duke! Cast him with a different actor in the next movie (if this is a success) but dont kill him.
Charlie Hunnam would be great! And Aaron Eckhart as Hawk!

The Rock and even more so, Vin diesel, have good look for Bane. Unfortunately, Nolan casts great actors for his films. Not, whoever.

What Neo said.

He has the stature to play Bane, but I'm sure TDKR will focus more on the mental aspect of Bane than what he is physically capable of doing. It's also possible Nolan wants Bane to be more like Batman evil equal (Venom, Bizarro, Reverse-Flash) so having Hardy not tower over Bale will serve that aspect.
