Paramount Sets Release Dates For New G.I. JOE, MICRONAUTS And DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS Movies

It's been a while since we heard anything about these projects, but Paramount Pictures has now set release dates for several upcoming movies based on Hasbro properties, including a new G.I. JOE flick...

It looks like Paramount and Hasbro's Allspark Pictures are still planning to put together a new shared universe based around several of their properties.

According to THR, the studio has now set release dates for G.I. JOE (March 27, 2020), Micronauts (Oct. 16, 2020), Dungeons and Dragons (July 23, 2021), and an "untitled Hasbro event film" which will arrive on Oct. 1, 2021.

We're not sure if the JOE movie will be a continuation of the previous two or a complete reboot.

Other concepts included in the shared universe are Visionaries, M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and ROM. Still no word on the possibility of the Transformers joining the fun, but given how succesful the franchise has been so far, there's a pretty much chance it'll happen at some point.

Damn...the Micronauts? You can tell 70's and 80's children are in charge of making movies now because that is one obscure toy reference.

But will they have Biotron?

@411IDSigo - Ha Ha. You want one even more obscure? How about the 'Mighty Orbots'

this has potential, just like dark universe, dc, marvel, power rangers etc etc

but i need to know who's involved- not actors but filmmakers before i get excited. also annocuning 3 movies in advance is never good why do they keep doing this

Would this be the Dragonlance Chronicles adaptation that Joe Manganiello was trying to get made? That was my first fantasy series so seeing Dragons of Autumn Twilight play out on the big screen with a serious budget is a huge dream of mine.

@Thanson - I would personally prefer a Forgotten Realms series with Drizzt and crew.

Then a spinoff or prequel consolidating the Dark Elf Trilogy into a film to show Drizzt leaving Menzoberanzan and coming to the surface. Obviously show is training with Zaknafein and the Drow society.

That would be a dream come true for me.
