With just over a month to go, Paramount has released the official theatrical trailer for Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, which introduces the man behind the mask, played by Henry Golding (Last Christmas; The Gentlemen), and previews what's to come as we see his early life on the streets, his recruitment by both G.I. Joe and Cobra, and a ton of awesome action sequences.
We also have a new behind-the-scenes featurette, offering up even more never-before-seen footage along with more details about the legendary friendship-turned-epic rivalry between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.
While plot details have mostly been kept under wraps, the action-adventure will focus on the untold origin story of the most mysterious member of G.I. Joe and how he became the legendary hero fans know and love. A number of major details about his past will be revealed, none bigger than his real name.
In addition to Golding, the supporting cast features Andrew Koji (Fast & Furious 6; Bullet Train) as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist; Snatch) as Baroness, Samara Weaving (The Babysitter; Ready or Not) as Scarlett, Haruka Abe (47 Ronin; Cruella) as Akiko, Takehiro Hira (Lost Girls & Love Hotels; Giri/Haji) as Kenta, Peter Mensah (The Incredible Hulk; Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Blind Master, and Iko Uwais (The Raid: Redemption; The Raid 2) as Hard Master.
Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins opens in theaters on July 23, and is then expected to debut on Paramount+ after a 45-day exclusive theatrical window.
