A final trailer for Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is now online ahead of the movie's release later this week, and while some of the footage has carried over from the recent international teaser, there are a few new shots of the legendary ninja in action.

It seems a handful (well, two!) critics have caught a screening, as their reactions are featured here. It's the usual pull-quote spiel, but for what it's worth, they are fairly very positive.

Check out the trailer below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think.

"A tenacious loner is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him."

Golding will be joined by Andrew Koji (Fast & Furious 6) as Storm Shadow, Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) as Scarlett, Úrsula Corberó (The Secret Life of Pets) as Baroness, and Iko Uwais (The Raid) as Hard Master. The movie is directed by Robert Schwentke.

We recently found out that the G.I. Joe Origins movie has been pushed up from its original October release, and will now hit theaters on July 23.

I'm not sure this was supposed to be left in the article but I'm pretty sure whoever made the decision to release this during Delta variant season is kicking themselves

The action looks okay here and there but it still looks painfully generic overall.

And it’s not that difficult to be the best GI JOE movie.

@BlackBeltJones - It does look pretty generic, but atleast I already like the cast (yes, even Goulding).

And yeah, the bar is pretty low for GI Joe movies.

@BlackBeltJones - I detected sarcasm in that reviewer's comment.

"The Best GI JOE Movie Yet!"

I literally cackled when I saw that. I was like, "Well that's setting the bar pretty low!" But truth be told I have enjoyed what I've seen up to this point. HOWEVER...

This is a really lackluster second trailer. I left it going, "Meh". I get not wanting to give the whole movie away, but give us SOMETHING. Or, don't release the trailer at all. Just sayin'...

Wasn’t the main actor of this sounding off about how this movie isn’t your typical action or “superhero person” movie when the trailers make it look anything but? Like he doesn’t want it to be compared to superhero movies but Shang chi looks more inspired then this

The best G.I.JOE movie yet!

It only has to score 35% Rotten Tomatoes rating and it will be the best.

Not trying to be negative, but when the critical review phrase "The best G.I. Joe movie yet!" popped up, all I could do was roll my eyes and laugh! I'm still waiting on my refund from Redbox for those 2 abysmal movies that preceeded this. I usually say you can only go up, but the 2nd movie was worse than the first, which I didn't think would be possible.
