With a little over two months until its opening its no surprise that G.I. Joe Retaliation is test screening. What does come as a surprise however is that test audiences may not being seeing the exact same film. According to Nuke The Fridge screenings are consisting of two separate endings. NTF's sources are saying Paramount is screening the two endings in hopes of avoiding a box office flop. While the films predecessor G.I. Joe Rise Of Cobra was a financial success it was met with some pretty harsh criticisms. Now it looks like Jon Chu and company are doing everything they can to ensure that not only is this one a financially successful but critically as well.

According to a story line NTF posted G.I. Joe Retaliation will center around Cobra spy Zartan who has that majority of the G.I. Joes assassinated. The film will also see the remaining joes band together to strike back. The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson, and will be released on June 29, 2012.

Does Michael Bay have anything to do with this movie? Cause say what you want, but the man can blow stuff up. Seems right up his alley.

And I hope they are both available when it hits home release...if the film is anything like the comic, if it seems all cartoony again, then F#ck it they had two tries and based on Paramount a third time would be uber-failure....

Who are these people that make the decision on which ending to use...Who are they...

This is nothing new... most movies have a certain set of "endings" shot for every film and are screened until either the producers/directors/money-holders/actual screening moviegoers are satisfied on which one to use..... then the final editing is done with the chosen ending in place. The others almost always end up on the cutting room floor and are summarily disposed of as trash.

This movie worries me, i thought the original was an average popcorn movie, but was about the GI joe team. This sequel seems to be a rock action movie and reminds of what they did with Mission Impossible one, where they killed off the main guys and then it was all about 1 x character!!

!SPOILER!

The ending I saw will most likely be shit canned because it is just so terrible, so here it is:

Cobra Commander in fancy helicopter flies up on Road Block who is recovering from his fight with Firefly and unarmed with no cover. He demands that Roadblock hand over the key to his super weapon or he'll kill him. Just when Cobra Commander gives the order to kill Road Block we see Snake Eyes run up with an M249 machine gun which he hands to Road Block. Road Block opens fire on the helicopter which then spins out of control, hits a bridge, blows up and then sinks into the water. With this ending there is no possible way for Cobra Commander not to be dead, so it is obviously not going to be used by any studio unless they seriously lack intelligence.

!SPOILER!
