Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene – until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire.

Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato (Jay Chou), they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. But in order to do this, they decide to become criminals themselves – protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets. Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate in advanced retro weaponry, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower.

Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato’s clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all.

The Green Hornet is set to be released on January 14, 2011!

So far, the only bad thing about this movie for me is the fact that Cameron Diaz is in it. Sitting through Knight and Day watching her for two hours was like mental [frick]ing torture. :P

The only problem I have with this that they're turning the franchise into something that it NEVER was and that's a comedy. Should it have humor? Yes, But it should have still went with the tone and atmosphere of a crime-drama since that is what GH has been since he he was conceived in the 1930's and onwards from the radio dramas, comics, film serials, and the 60's tv show.

I however have only WATCHED some of film serials from the 40s, Watched most of the 60s TV series and listened to an episode of the old radio drama.(Google helps lol)

Don't be too hard on her, Josh.
She's not down right ugly.
I do think she only looks good in The Mask.
But she's not that bad.
And she can act quite decently too.

Better acting but ugly mug Maggie Gylenhall being fought over by two most eligible handsome bachelors of Gotham City! And I can live through that. Now I prefer to see Diaz than that. LOL!

Orehrepus: Oh, it's not her looks that bother me. I'd very gladly "tap Diaz" as my good buddy ANIL says above...I just found her beyond annoying in both that, and most other movies I've seen her in! :D

Cameron is sooo beautiful <3
I sure as hell wouldn't mind looking like that at her age.

The only challenge I have with this movie is Seth Rogen playing the Green Lantern. The Green Lantern is not supposed to be a dorky guy and Rogen appears to be his usual dorky guy based on the footage I have seen. The top picture pretty much looks like vintage Rogen.

She was smokin' in the Mask - I'll happily admit I was one of those young teenage boys who thought she was one of the top 5 best looking.... and when she doesn't have a professional makeup crew - her age does show.

@Josh: My bad, man.
I was distracted by others to think that you based your dislike on her looks. I reread it and it didn't suggest anything like that. Sorry.
