Guardians looked like a video game characters. Not good. Uncharted 2 had better graphics than what Sony Imageworks did with this.

Reviews for the GL Blu-ray aren't good.

There's an issue with the Video Quality:

Blu-ray.com Review

"An Eyesore is an Eyesore"

Warner's 1080p/AVC-encoded video transfer doesn't exactly swoop in to save the day. Contrast is rather oppressive and black levels are heavy, unforgiving and, every now and then, abusive, stamping out shadow detail with abandon. It's as if someone cranked up the "in blackest night" dial but forgot to flip the "in brightest day" switch. (On a positive note, the more brutal blacks cover up some of the seams that haunt the film's CG elements, chief among them Hal's suit.) Even when the sun rises, the image lacks a bit of the brightness, crispness and clarity that should rise with it. When the sun sets, matters get infinitely worse.

Crush is an issue, as is middling delineation and some muddled fine textures. Videophiles won't be easily satisfied and even those who are will probably be those who mistake the overzealous shadows that press in as thematic when they are, at least in part, indicative of something more troubling: the possibility of an over-tweaked encode. Granted, much of the deteriorating detail traces back to the source. I noticed the presence of noise reduction while watching the film in the theater and most, if not all, of the (reasonably) minor DNR that's visible here comes courtesy of Campbell and company, not Warner. Still, an eyesore is an eyesore. Closeups of Ryan Reynold's face (the refined shots at 41:09, 1:14:47 and 1:44:30 being a few of the exceptions) shouldn't look as flat, indistinct or muddy as they sometimes do.

Two versions of Green Lantern are included: a 114-minute theatrical cut and a roomier (but no more eventful) 123-minute extended cut. Also comes with five inconsequential (and unfinished) deleted scenes that don't leave much of a mark.

Black Friday sale for me.

mostly i just complain about all the hate aimed at this movie....but honestly, I was disappointed with the movie, i just don't think it's as terrible as so many people on this site claim it to be. But sticking to the topic of the article, I thought the Guardians looked the worst out of any of the CG in the movie. And I felt that OA just felt flat...I never was pulled into the environment, it just seemed empty.

If you haven't seen the movie yet, I think it's worth the $20 or so dollars...cheaper than going to the movies...lol

The movie sucked. It was infantile and badly written, but it's faithful to the comics when it comes to the GL mythos and I'm just too big a GL fan not to get this, so to answer your question, GUNSMITH: HELL YES!!!

The movie was flawed straight to hell, but I still loved it. I mean if given a chance for a sequel, they laid enough groundwork to have the badass "Dark Knight" to this "Batman Begins" Now while most trolls are going to look at me like "why did you use that comparison of a good movie to a bad one, you idiot?!" I'll tell you: Dark Knight as a fi;m is far superior to Batman Begins. With enough groundwork (post credits scene notwithstanding) they can focus the sequel IN SPACE and have it come to Earth only for the climax (like many GL stories) and then wrap up. Also we can use Arisia as the new Hal love interest, which can help Carol's transition into Star Sapphire and people would totally buy it and that way we don't have to be tied to Earth for the romance!
