I'll second that. I've liked him in everything that he's done so far (even tho that may be limited). He just has an air of seriousness.

I'm sure by this afternoon this page will be full of fanboy's upset that they (if they do) are using John Stewart as GL. I kind of agree, the Green Lantern has ALOT of history; but hey, they can always do prequels!

Come on Adamrich81 man, you can find imperfections like that in EVERY girl. If you do, then no girl will really be sexy since no girl is perfect! And if you did find a perfect girl, you'll find imperfections in her personality, or something. You gotta concentrate on her good attributes, like her sexy eyes or something. And also that kinda thinking swings both ways: you don't want girls saying your ugly because they don't like your nose or something, know what I mean? =)

Common is one of those musican/actors that dosen't take the typical "rapper" roles....I'd be happy to see him as John Stewart.

What the heck happened to Hal Jordan in the movie? I am hoping that they aren't gonna start the series with John. Though as one poster said, they could do prequels.

i dont like Commons voice, he does have the John stewart look tho. john stewart has to have that deep voice tho.

I always wanted Avery Brooks to play John Stewart. I liked Common in Wanted, but I don't think he could really carry a lead role.

Hal Jordan WILL be the first Lantern even though Guy, John and Kyle are supposed to show up here and there eventually. I think John will have a part in the upcoming movie but wont be the main role. Common has a "contract" to play John but doesn't know shit about WHEN he'll get to do that. This is just misderected hype IMO. And if they decided to skip Hal and start with John, i'd be fine with it. I really like John as a GL. I hate Guy Gardner!

Common honestly would be awesome as stewart and i'm so happy the stupid justice league movie broke down....there were some stupid looking unknowns poised to play the superheroes...i dint know how DC would make that work but i was getting ready to throw up if they actually made that movie...Now about common not having the 'deep' voice....seriously i think laffataffa you are basing your observation on the justice league cartoons...which is not bad but seriously i dont think the voice is a big deal and FYI phil lamar from MAD TV is the voice of stewart on the justice league cartoons.....so ironic..lol

Common's voice is the only thing I thought people WOULDN'T complain about!!!

NOT DEEP ENOUGH??? Dude, grab a couple of his CD's (good listening anyway :) or at least watch Wanted and Smokin Aces. The scene in Wanted where the guy is supposed to shoot the wings off the flies, and Common comes up behind him and says, "Pull the trigger, or I will." was so creepy BECAUSE of his voice! Watch it again, I think you'll agree.

Are we seriuosly talking about voices. John Stewart is not real, so there is no certain voice for him. I do hope he plays in the movie, but then again John Stewart does not really have an epic story behind him. If they do choose john they will have to threw in some more GL's in the movie. I say put all of them, even the aliens and espicall kilowatt(or whatever his name is)

If they are going to start making Green Lantern movies then they should start with Hal Jordan. Hal is obviously the coolest Lantern and the first. (you know what I mean.)
They should have Josh Duhamel play Hal Jordan.

After what Michael Jai White did in Spawn, and voicing him over in the Justice League Heroes game, I think he should be an obvious candidate for the role. Not to mention his extensive martial arts and weight lifting background. Which means he's got the superhuman physique that makes a costume look good, as well as the ability to move around. He's not just some bulky clown. I don't trust Common with the role. I don't know much on his acting work, but I'd easily vote Mr. White over Common on this one.

Spawn sucked, but I could see Michael White with glowing green eyes again, but with a GL outfit.

There are a few actors I think could play the part. I would like to see one of my fav. actors get the part, Djimon Hounsou, He brings heart to any role he plays, every movie hes been he played his part great.

All that aside I would still like to see kyle rayner.

Neo24real, Trust me I would love to see him as black panther, I think he would fit that part a lot more, But I think Snipes is going to do it, since he loves it, but I would guess well have to wait tell he gets out of jail lol. Also I haven't heard anything about that movie, and I would like to see Djimon in something good that is comic related, push was okay, but eh....
