Cool. This is still my favorite movie this summer. Captain America was better but still, to get to see Green Lantern was great. I just hope it gets a sequel, in which they can only improve the story-line. So much potential behind this comicbook, one day WB will get it right.

I hope the movie does well still and gets a lot of dvd sales.
I'd love to see a sequel :(

reynolds looked so uneasy there, like he was really disappointed by the film. Honesty, that's a good thing. It shows that he wants it to be done right.
I feel bad for him, and hope he gets a sequel to redeem himself. None of the actors were that bad, Lively was a bit dull but not that bad, while Peter Sarsgaard (sp?) was way OTT.

The problem was the writing, it all shot down hill after the alright beginning. I mean the opening was breathtaking, then up to the midpoint it was just fine, then it failed spectacularly. Even some of the effects (particularly Paralax) looked extremely dodgy.

I liked the movie...just had too many holes to make it a real success. Not enough Sinestro. (Mark Strong was great btw). Not enough training time. Parallax was way too powerful a villain for Hal to defeat all by himself, etc, etc, etc. But what little they did have was good.

I haven't seen GL yet, but I feel sorry for Reynolds having to promote a film overseas which was DOA here in the states.

GREEN LANTERN WAS STILL ONE OF THE BEST IF NOT THE BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE OF THE SUMMER. I THINK THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB WITH IT.

Ok that will make about 100 Germans interested..

3 Marvel movies > GL with the biggest budget and the best marketing team.

Yeah, that's a beatdown.

Man, doing press for a project like this that has already been met with bad reviews and box office disappointment cannot be fun. (It's bad when they mention both in the story on the film's Berlin premiere...)

Still, you never know what will hit in any given territory. After all, if Germans can love David Hasselhof, then who is to say?

The movie in whole was just one big cluster f**k, too many holes in the plot, the CGI looked like it was made in the 90's. IMO Reynolds was not a good choice to play Hal Jordan, he just didnt fit the role...has the movie made at least half of its budget yet?

You'd think that at least some effort would have been put into the one DC film that isn't about Batman or Superman (or Batman), but once again, laziness prevails.

Green Lantern was such a disappointment.

I still like GL better than Captain America, and it was pretty close with THOR I.M.O. - But X-Men was the best... I just don't see how people can say Cap was the best movie, and it had the least amount of action. And the CG 'small Steve Rodgers' looked 1000x worse than GL's mask ever did...

Troll that!

The best bet for Reynolds would be to just focus on Deadpool. He wasnt bad as Hal Jordan, but that series is doomed to the same nonsensical crapverse as Batman and Robin (although it wasnt as bad as that).

Deadpool, with a hard R rating, Reynolds in the title role, and Tarantino-style OTT action, great comedy and th Merc with a Mouth demolishing the 4th wall with a sledgehammer would be perfect.

Are the rest of the world getting a different version of this movie ? I had heard they were getting like a directors cut which will probably be better than what was out in theaters here .
